I got the floor frame down, the shed doors on, the dog half groomed ( she has a very short attention span).  I will have to finish her later, I have to go back out and shift a lot of pot plants and tools out of the way. I've just been rung by the siding people, they are going to be here at 0700. For two weeks. 0600 starts. *sob*

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

It sure will. It's just getting to that point :) It's been a bit of an uphill slog really. I am looking forward to getting everything done and dusted.

Long story short... I'm going to pay the fine for one of those automated speeding tickets I received while driving a rent a car in and around Barcelona, Spain back in March.

Long story a little less short....

Along with renting a car, we rented a gps device which would notify us every time I was speeding and we passed by one of those cameras. I was impressed that the gps device would correlate my speed, the speed limit and the traffic cameras. In a day of driving I must have been warned like 10 times that I was running the risk of speeding, i.e. breaking the law.

I didn't care. There was no way I was paying for a speeding ticket from Spain.

So the rental car company sent me the ticket a couple of weeks after our return from Europe. They were polite about it and simply asked that I pay the ticket. I ignored it primarily because I envisioned receiving 4 or 5 separate tickets for all the speeding I done did (as they say it in Arkansas).  Now 2 months after the event, I received a 2nd notice politely requesting payment. Only this time, they give me a link to a site where I can pay it by credit card - smart choice.

So I'm going to pay it after all. 1. It's only a single ticket. 2. It's only 40 Euros. 3. The Hertz people were really nice and the car only cost 28 Euros in the first place. 4. Paying by credit card makes it easy.

And if you've got this far let me just say that I'll spare you the even longer version. ;)

OK, so, here's my review of Costco same day delivery thru Instacart.

The app is great, shopping is easy, placing order is easy. You pay slightly more for each item.

I ordered, capri sun (4 cases), Kirkland water (3 cases), Kool aid ready to drink (4 cases), doggie jerky, Kirkland OJ, 4 gallons milk.

at first, 2 items were out of stock, the shopper substituted them with items that cost a lot more.

Like replacing capri sun with Tropicana.

Replacing Kirkland water with Peligrino. (40 dollars more).

I was in contact with the shopper, told him do not substitute. So, that was resolved.

The delivery was perfect, every step was tracked, and I was kept updated of the status, down to the GPS location of the shopper.

Delivery on time, within 2 hours.

1 of the milk carton seals was broken.

I contacted Instacart, they refunded me for all 4 cartons.

Now I ordered all heavy, bulky stuff. Probably paid 5-10% more.

Delivery was free. Tip, 12 bucks.

Saved me 2 hours, and a lot of frustration.

The shopper was grateful. Offered to help me bring the stuff into the house.

So...the verdict....

It's great for the bulky heavy heavy stuff!
