I am here to report that you can fly domestically without any ID on you. Mind you, I'm not advising that you do so, I'm just saying it's possible on a trip out and back.

Forgot my wallet as I headed to the airport on Friday. I did have a picture of my DL in my phone but nothing in a person's phone is admissable as acceptable ID. If you don't have ID, TSA will pull you aside and then they call Homeland Security who will ask you a series of questions to confirm your identity. Then they do a full body search, with clothes remaining on, and they go through your bags with a fine tooth comb. Unfortunately, after submitting to the "more involved" security, my wife and I arrived at our gate 3 minutes late. United was real nice and routed us on another flight with an extra connection. Only lost 4 hours of time, in the end. Return trip was the same drill but we arrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare.

Note, this might not apply to non-USC's, who are technically required to have their Green cards on them at all times.

You should look at it as awesome luck and timing!

I will likely never fly. Costs too much to get my crew on a plane.

I think we are, as, my former flatmate says, dunroamin as well.  For the two of us to visit NZ again would cost a heap. And I'd have to rent medical equipment for him which is ridiculously expensive and his trip insurance costs moonbeams.  So yah, nah...*sigh*

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Just easier and more enjoyable on everyone not to fly.

Didn't discover the missing wallet until I got to Albuquerque airport. The 2 hour round trip to retrieve the wallet would have caused us to miss the next flight out.

It's boy #2's birthday today. The Tornado is not happy she is not going to see him today. I told her we can have his party when we see him next. That bought me a few minutes of peace.

Have a look at the first post on page 1. Pretty much sums things up ;)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Bad and silent Austrian girl back to conversation mode!

Had a LOT going on the past couple weeks!

But to sum it up, I got my interview appointment, went thru a visa medical, got a little sick from the shots I needed and FINALLY got the news yesterday that my co worker is very likely getting fired today!

I tried to give reputation points while I was gone ...I didn’t want to risk me getting scolded by Mr T.B again 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄

I dread our next trip for this reason.  What is it now, over $5000 just to fly us all out to Europe... more in transport costs while there.

Yesterday, the high was in the upper 80s, today it was 58.  Fall is finally here.  😎

These are recurring signs that you need to buy pre-owned toilet seats pronto, si man.

They are anecdotally proven to ward off storms, or, if not that, at least personal damage therefrom, si man.

We might help, if you behave and are properly deferential, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."
