Speaking of Dollar General, we recently got a register coupon for $Many off a $Many purchase, deal man.

Today, we got Many (2+2) large bottles of honey and Many (2+1) of squeezable strawberry jelly, deal man.

Raw purchase total came to $Many.Many, fractionally over the $Many threshold man.

We used our $Many-off-$Many coupon, willingly handed over by we man.

Total purchase price was $Many.Many, meaning that one bottle of honey was free, whee man.

Before ES-ing, we surprised Mini-B. by joining him for lunch at skool, surprised wee man.

Mrs. T-B. also independently showed up, surprised wee & we man.

We & Mrs. T-B. think that Mini-B. was quite touched by this, little wee man.

And he has a BIG little appetite, ingest heartily skool lunch wee man.

 

In addition to ES-ing, we visited our favorite resale store, discount day man.

We got some Dockers dress-slacks at Many% (2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2+1%) off, steal man.

 

Got our hairs cut*, much cooler now man.

Went to Dollar General as above, steal man.

 

Dropped shirts and alterations at cleaners, big load man.

Shirts = $1 each to launder/press, dig that man.

Alterations = $Many ($2+1) per garment for anything necessary (e.g., pants waist plus cuffs), dig that man.

 

Mowed front lawn, prelude to personal shower & to predicted weekend showers, make mulch while sun shines man.

 

Napped-with-cat very heavily and deservedly for 2 hours, we and miu zzz man.

Quiet. Where did everybody go?

 

Up early and off to the V.E.T (yes, she knows what the word means). Not happy to see the place, after only a couple of weeks ago being stuck there for two nights. I managed to get the tablets into her by grinding them up and polluting her favourite dinner. She won't take a pill. I am not going to be popular, every morning for the next 17 days I have to give her an injection. She seems perkier tonight than she's been for days.

 

She has skills, this dog. After tea, she was soundly sleeping under my chair, when she suddenly jumped up. Bark! I looked out and didn't see a thing, but she was staring out the window intently so I went to have a look. The toggle on one corner of our shade sail had undone itself, and it was neatly draped down over the car. I never heard a thing. Himself is essentially deaf so he didn't either.  Good thing she let me know, I would have walked out there in the dark with her before bed and wandered right into it. It's dark out here in upper west rubber boot AR. 

 

The MIL moves in with her daughter today. I await the sound of distant explosions.

So this guy I used to work with that helped me find one of our cats, is pissed at me because he took a random cat in his neighborhood to my vet clinic. The cat has a microchip and legally we have to keep the cat and find the owner.  We cant just hand over personal information like someone's name, phone number, and address.  We spend several days looking for an owner and then turn the cat over to a local shelter who also does that for a week. Then the cat goes up for adoption.  Apparently this is the worst mistake he's ever made. (Dude's house is a pigsty btw.  Like nasty dirty.  Smokes cigarettes and pot like they're going out of style.) He has a good hear.  I want to say jeez sometimes it takes a bit to get a hold of an owner! Relax! I can even tell him how to claim the cat as his but not sure if I should? He and his family dont seem that bright to be honest.

Afterwards, we visited a resale shop and got Many (2+2+2) books for Mini-B. = $Many ($2+1), deal man.

We stumbled upon an Ace Hardware that was being liquidated, bye man.

Liquidation-co. employees told us that former owners got in big trouble with bank, hence the liquidation, uh-oh man.

 

Everything in store was Many% (2x2x2x2x2-2%) off, approaching reasonable levels man.

 

We got Many (2+1) cans of lubricant/silicone spray, 2 pairs utility gloves, & Many (2+2+2) half-of-half-gallons of motor oil, why not man.

 

In summary, we paid $Many, having saved $Many off the original price of $Many, si man.

 

We rather appreciate the philosophy of "everything in the store is the same Many% off," versus the more typical "this category of stuff is Many% off, whereas this other category of stuff is not Many% off but rather Many% off, and this other category of stuff is neither Many% off nor Many% off but instead is Many% off," etc., needless headaches man.

You could pick a random town in Connecticut or New York on the train line and be there sooner.  I'm pretty familiar with the Harlem and New Haven (and its continuation on the Shoreline) lines, if you have any questions.

I know we can take the train , but staying within the NYC borders and using NYC transport, we can use one metrocard without buying any additional train tickets or something. That's why I'm looking for a place which can be reached by NYC transportation.
