05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Being near everything NYC has to offer is pretty worth it, in my opinion.

Well, duh.  They are selling at least one of their condos, maybe both.  Riverview too.

 

I'm trying Walmart grocery pickup today.

 

Now, I'm wondering why my grocery bill is $90 when I buy online, but always hitting close to $200 either in Walmart or Target when I go in person.  I must put a lot of random stuff in my cart.

I took the throgs neck bridge yesterday. Some nice seaside houses there. 

 

You know when I use the Instacart app, the same thang happens to me. And the item prices in Instacart is higher!

If the price wasn't totally outrageous, I'd still live in commutable distance, for sure.  I miss the ocean/sound.  I seriously binge watched all 12 seasons of Bondi Rescue recently, that is how bad it has gotten.

 

In the store, I use cartwheel and I get the 5% off with my redcard, and this was still less.  The price on the items is pretty comparable.

It occurred to me why it might be a lot lower - The Dane isn't throwing protein bars into my cart!  I'd love to get him off those things, they have a lot of calories.
