My head hurts!

Did I let you know the results of my cat scan? If I did oh well I'm going to tell you again :P

My sinuses are clear which is very good as removing them from just my nose and opening this up better is much less invasive surgery. I guess getting deep down in your sinuses is very risky so I'm happy I don't have to worry about that.

She said that surprisingly this type of surgery is not that painful. I would have though it was being right there in your face and all. Surgery is set for August 2nd if I remember right. Good thing I have it written down or I would forget it altogether.

Glad it's a smaller surgery than it could be (not good you need surgery though). Hope they're right and it's not painful and you recover quickly :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

I have good news and a rant this week so YAY for me.:jest:

So the good news is that I am being promoted either way, but alittle back story first to fill you in: I used to work in Los Angeles for the Feds making decent money but I took a downgrade to be able to move back to NC to be around family and a lower COL. Since I have been at my current location they love me here at my current job, and loved me enough to 'wink' 'wink' at me to let me know that they were opening up a job at the same level I was at in LA. But in the meantime I applied for an even higher level promotion at a different department here at the base I am at, and I took the interview because my current supervisor always says "You can turn down a job, but NEVER turn down a interview".

So now I am stuck because I have 2 options right now:

Option 1. I get promoted but my top baseline pay is about $78k a year without having to leave my desk literally which what I was making in LA before I moved. It also will come with an extra incentive pay of about 20% coming later this year because they are trying to keep highly trained cyber Individuals. I like where I am at and everybody is great.

Option 2. I get promoted even higher than Option 1 but I have to go to a new organization with new leadership, the pay will START at $80k a year with no incentive pay because I will be simply a IMO for the organization.

So either way it's good.
