Box turtles can drown in deep water. They have a really small area they call home, leave him be moving him will put him in danger he won't be in his area. Plus in they are on the protected list here so best leave them be. The dog won't hurt them he's too small. They shut up their shell pretty darn good.

As for the snapping turtle be careful they are nasty.

We didn't put him in the water, we put him next to the edge of the shoreline, where the little creek runs in.  We had to move him, he can't stay shut up in our yard. He came in under the gate, likely heading that direction. It is about 60 feet to the water.

The snapping turtle was every bit of 30 lbs, and cranky. We coaxed him into the garden cart and wheeled him down to the shore.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

How We Spent Our Relaxing Sunday, See Man

A Tragedy in Many Acts, Egad Man

-------

Arose at previously stated time to airport Mrs. T-B., arise we man.

With mere minutes of our safe-departure window, she begins repacking her cosmetics, :bonk: she man.

She quit when we started going aysheep, discretion better than valor man.

Got mostly green lights, compliant to approaching traffic that early man.

No traffic or bored constables on the roads, no man.

Set all-time speed record by a whopping Many minutes, enviable man.

However, airport itself utterly mobbed, unbelievable man.

Returned casa-ward by Many (2+2+2) a.m., same traffic/light conditions man.

Mrs. T-B. texted that she was "stuck in line," probably Security Theater man.

Later, she indeed boarded, just fine she man.

First flight left Many (2+1) min early and arrived Many (2x2x2+2) min early, timely man.

Second gate a long hike with only Many (2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2) min betwixt, brisk-walk she man.

Second flight left Many (2+2+2) min early and arrived Many (2x2x2x2 + 2+2+1) min early, timely man.

Mrs. T-B. then spent about an hour waiting on Uber, Uber not über alles no man.

Rest of Mrs. T-B.'s day OK, except for bugging us every Many seconds for "how is Mini-B.," codependent she man.

Meanwhile, we napped for not quite 2 hours, not nearly enough zzz man.

Began Laundry Load #1 at Many (2x2x2) a.m., too many man.

Chauffeured Mini-B. to Mama T-B. at Many (2x2x2+2+1) a.m., weekly visit to doting senior she man.

Returned in cloudbursting rain, free car-warsh man.

Wrangled LLs #2 & #Many before up-picking Mini-B., retrieve wee man.

Immediately chauffeured Mini-B. & Mama-Mrs.-T-B. to Ecu amiga's casa, yak yak yak Ecu chicas man.

Got BOGO Whoppers at Burger King for first meal of day, half-past 2 p.m. man.

Returned to casa; beelined for thermostat to reduce temperature from Ecu level, hotcasa environs man.

Changed all Many (2+1) beds and Many (2x2x2) pillowcases, hotel head housekeeper we man.

Wrangled LL #Many, too many man.

Sweated like illegitimate male child and off-showered, amazing relief man.

Napped like illegitimate male child for hour + half-hour, dead to world we man.

Cat appeared at nap's end and knocked over lamp, uncharacteristically clumsy miu man.

Aroused in time to fold LL #Many, bake LL #Many, and warsher LL #Many, too many man.

Retrieved Mini-B. & Mama-Mrs.-T-B. from Ecu amiga's casa, yak enough they man.

Mama-Mrs.-T-B. prepared hamburgers on grill in kitchen, stink up casa man.

Had to delay further LL-wrangling till stench abated, ingest delicious hamburgers we man.

Folded LL #Many and baked LL #Many, end almost in sight man.

Called Mrs. T-B. and implored her to call or find one or more Rojos, Job One for she man.

Read short book with Mini-B., already past bedtime for wee man.

Mini-B. wanted to help with laundry, Many'th load man.

He helped us fold warshcloths, eager wee man.

Consoled Mini-B. that he could indeed go to bed/sleep without Mommy, disconsolate wee man.

Lay in bed for Many minutes while disconsolate Mini-B. rationalized falling asleep, disconsolate wee man.

Went downstairs to make week's first Many lunches, si man.

Jumped out of our skin when Mrs. T-B. addressed us from her spy-camera, codependent she man.

She wanted us to reposition upstairs spy-camera so she could observe Mini-B. sleeping, co-d. she man.

We complied and again implored her to find a Rojo, prospects of same diminishing man.

Ingested entire tub of sliced watermelon in refridge, dehydrated we man.

Typed report of How We Spent Our Relaxing Sunday, See Man, si man.

In summary, see man:

We wrangled Many (2+1) LLs on Saturday and Many (2x2x2) on Sunday, si man, for a new record total of Many (2x2x2+1) -- yes, Many (2x2x2+1) LLs having been wrangled in one weekend, world champion we man.

And this is worth a reputation point from every reader, whether grippingly entranced or glazed-over, si man.

The fooks are wreaking havoc on the neighborhood. There must have been a dozen electrical fires today. All from overloading the wires in a house not designed for 15 air conditioners, and running illegal wiring.

I was just telling the wife that this was inevitable last week.

Today's fires caused a blackout in some areas of the hood...
