Hi guys!

So today is my 165th day of waiting. I contacted my congressman a few weeks ago and he wrote back to me on April 16th telling me that USCIS was gonna expedite my case. It has been 2 weeks and I still no sign of anything. Should I contact him again? or someone else? Or is it too early (since last email)?

Thanks for your help

You may not like what I’m about to say but your “congressman” was telling alternative facts. If you did not receive an official notice from USCIS then there is no expedite. Did you even request for one?

Btw, a congressman, lawyer, or any other person outside of immigrantion cannot have any influence over a case. Only thing they can do is find out what is going on with it. That’s it.

I have received a copy of the email that USCIS sent to my congressman stating that my case will be routed for expedite processing. He forwarded me the email from USCIS.

That is a start.

I would be more diligent and contact USCIS and ask to speak with a Tier 2 or supervisor to get the status of your case.
