Is there any reason to call USCIS and inquire about interview scheduling?

Hey,

Since June 29th 2017 on the https://my.uscis.gov/ website I see "We are scheduling your interview".

My field office is San Francisco and I adjusted from K-1.

About 4 months ago I received a response via email from USCIS regarding an online inquiry I sent about my case, where they said "we are scheduling your interview and if you do not hear from us within 3 months from this notice please call".

I called, and they still gave me the same meaningless answer...

Is there any point in calling USCIS to receive case updates now or should I simply wait longer? When should I get concerned?

Thanks!

I don't think there's much you can do but wait. You've been waiting longer than I have, but I've been waiting since July and I've tried everything, I've moved heaven and earth to try and get a solid answer from them but nothing.

Seems like they're focusing on 2018 filers right now, for some reason.

Hi,

My status was changed 2 days ago and it says 'Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview'. I filed my AOS from k1 last Nov. 2017. I didn't receive my EAD until now. I did service request for my EAD after 90 days and they responded and sent me an RFE for my hubby's recent income tax return. So i sent them a copy and they received it last Apr. 24. After a week they changed my status to that. Now i'm apprehensive after reading your post that its almost 1 year now and still they haven't schedule you yet.

But did you get your EAD? Coz i didnt get mine until now.

Hi,

I got my EAD about 1 month after applying for AOS. So that was last year.

I would mention though that I asked for expedited processing and was approved, because I had a job offer and honestly I started working already...  I can't realistically been expected to live in San Francisco and not work, I would be homeless and my wife's salary was low.

In any case, EAD usually takes around 90-120 days without expedited processing.

I just checked my status online again today, in my EAD it says New card is being produced and they will mail it to me but my AP it says appeal is dismissed. I dont get it. But im just happy my EAD is coming already though. I just need a job soon. I might wait for a year or so like you before being scheduled for interview then.
