Hi  All,

I need some help in this forum please. I have applied for N400 Citizenship application. I am a Green card holder for over 5 years now. My Priority date is May 26th, 2018. My biometrics was reviewed back in June 2018. Since then there hasn't been any update. I have opened 3 separate investigations with USCIS but I keep getting this automated response noted below.  Can someone please let me know how soon I can expect an interview as this process seems painfully slow? Also it shows online that estimated completion time is 2 month.

"Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for interviews at their local Field Office. Interview appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the Field Office. "

Each field office has their own timeline, it all depends on where you live and how many cases they have to deal with. I am in the same stage of the process, waiting for the interview to be scheduled at San Fernando Valley Office in California. There is nothing you can do but wait

Hi Thanks for your reply Nelya 94. I had my Fingerprinting done in Chatsworth CA back in June 2018. I am not sure what my field office is however when I check online it shows 2 months estimation for completion of my case. Can you tell me how do I check my field office?

I see our priority date is very very similar. Hopefully we will both hear back something soon. I was getting very worried but seeing that your case is similar to mine definately gives me some comfort.

OH wow, you were hoping and finally you got it. congrats on your interview notice. Almost at the finish line. May I ask, did you file based on 5 years rule or 3 years rule?

Could you tell me which office you applied at? I applied in Los Angeles and had my fingerprinting in Chatsworth CA back in June 2018, since then there hasn't been a reply.

Same office as you, the one on Prairie St. I was there a few months back to get my I-551 stamp and the officer said that we should be all done with our N-400 by the end of summer.

Hi Nelya - My field office is also San Fernando Valley. I see that our priorities date are very close to each other. Mine is May 26,2018. I am really hoping that we get an interview soon.

By the way when you log in, what does it say as to how much time remaining for the entire process? Mine says estimated time remaining to completion as 2 months. Also do you know of anyone else on this site with Date closer to us in LA areas Office?

We received a text/email about the N400 interview this afternoon; still waiting for the actual interview letter in the mail.

Phew! We were about to lose hope being that ours is a combo interview (I751 & N400).

That’s awesome. Congrats! I am also an I751 and N400 filer. Does the interview notice specifically mention about I751? and how long have you been waiting for 751? Which office?

Thank you. We have not received the actual interview letter yet but I created an SR and received a reply from USCIS that the I-751 and N400 will be adjudicated together since her I-751 petition is still pending.

We submitted her I-751 in May 2017 so it's been 23 months now.

So I had my Oath Ceremony yesterday in Atlanta. One week after my interview.

My immigration journey to the US is officially over now.

I want to thank everyone for their comments, spreadsheets, and best wishes. And I want to wish the best of luck to those who are still waiting. The light at the end of the tunnel is closer and closer.

Hi Ivansim.  Our office is also the SFV office.  What a long wait this has been, and it's extremely frustrating.  My husband applied for N-400 in June 2018, renewal of his green card in May, 2017!  He had to go down to Chatsworth for the passport stamp (we leave for Costa Rica on Saturday, and really thought back in December 2017, when we began planning this trip, it'd be drama free.  :( ), and that's all the interaction we've had with there.  I think we'll be done by July?  I hope so anyway.
