Hey, i don't mean to be nosy but something kinda caught my attention with your timeline. Are you sure you did not file a couple of days too early? I think you did.

Not at all.

I actually started my application a wek earlier and it wouldnt let me file until the 25th.

I’ve done my biometrics so I assume my priority date is the 28th and all is above board.  28th is when the online receipt notice posted.

the 31st is when the same letter reached my house.

Alright then! If you filed online I’m sure the portal should have warned you about the dates. Other than that, I think your window opened on the 05/27 and not 05/25. There has been cases where people get all the way to the interview only to be told they filed early and then get turned down. Just saying though!

You bring up a point that I have been wondering about. I got my Green Card on 9/6/2013. I filed ONLINE 90 days ahead of my 5 year anniversary (on 7th June). Per the USCIS calculator the date for early file was 8th June. But when I was working on my online application, the RED FLAG was removed on the 7th June and infact showed a GREEN color which said everything is in order and allowed me to file. I got the NOA on 7th June and the CC payment was also accepted. Anything to be concerned about?

How are you counting the 27th???

even is my priority date is the day of filing - 25th May.

6 remaining in May

30 days in June

31 days in July

25 to GC date in August

Total 92 days.

Its that simple....just saying! :-)

Okay then. As long as it looks good to you, I am good as well. I actually had to bring out a graphing calculator after i saw your last post. I plotted Eligibility against Time and it did not seem like a straight line to me. If you use the USCIS calculator, it would clearly tell you that your earliest filing date should be 05/27. Also, after you counted days, your total days should not be more that 90 days (Filing days) but you clearly counted 92 days. which tell me 2 days too early!!

I totally get your point which is why I called USCIS this morning!

could it be they dont count your filing date and GC date and only the days in between?

Not sure what to say anymore. Again, i do not mean to be nosy, just trying to help you seek a resolution early instead of the long wait, and then you get to the interview and you're turned down because you filed too early. Just get in contact with USCIS and figure out a way forward.

It does not make sense if there is no built in feature for red flagging >90 days applics when filing online. It saves time for everyone involved. Accepting the applic online and then for it to be rejected months later by USCIS is just a waste of their time. USCIS should list this issue as a benefit of online filing.

Personally, I don't trust one IO telling me that it's ok unless I get his/her name. I would call and ask a second IO for their opinion... My 2 cents worth.

I was told the same by an IO this afternoon. I asked for a recording and she said there isn't one. I will call again and record the conversation for my records.

A friend of mine has the same GC date as me and who also filed on the 7th has taken an infopass on 19th in Columbus Ohio. In Houston infopass is not available for next 2 weeks. Let's see what they say in infopass

In addition to that I have also used the "send us a message" feature in  my USCIS Account.

I spoke to an IO again a few mins ago - second tier (not the agents on the front line). Got his name too.

He told me the application has been accepted and the case was assigned to an officer yesterday. Both IO's were consistent in what they said - if the system allowed you to file then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. He did say however, that the officer in charge of the file has the final say.

I'm also amazed that the system will not allow you to file 93 days out but 92 days goes green. If I'd known it was potentially such a big deal I would have waited until I was back from holiday before applying!

That is a silver lining
