The old site would be this one: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and the new one this one https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

thank you. very Interesting, an old site has more updates than a new one for me ))

Hi community! We got our 'Initial Request for Evidence' 4 months after filing for AOSEAD and AP. Apparently we missed a tax document..We now sent the latest tax info for 2017 AND 2016. We included every page (20 pages per year) so should be ok now..

2 questions:

  • Will a RFE that was meant for my AOS affect when I'll receive my EAD?
  • If so, does anyone have an idea how long it will approx. take for them to send me my EAD from this moment on? I read on some forums that this will 'restart' the clock! Other forums says it will pick up where it left off.

Let me know.. Thanks. Fleur

Whelp.  It seems my poor hubby might be the last straggler.  We still haven't heard anything about his EAD.  I'm hoping something happens soon though.  Man this whole process is such a challenge to get through.

I´m still waiting too and and every day I´m trying hard not to worry.

If it helps I’m also still waiting.. NOA May 18th. No EAD or AP and no RFEs. When I call they say wait. Soon I’ll be able to file for outside normal processing time. Anyone else done this?

Hey all!

I received my EAD/AP card a week before my green card interview, so it really was of no use to me. Weird that it took 6 month for both!

A quick update on the interview:

we had ours on Wednesday. It was very informal. He barely asked us questions. Just went over the AOS form, looked at our pictures and cracked a bunch of jokes.

One important thing to note: he did not approve us on the spot! He said he had to go through the info and would let us know if we were missing anything. He said that we would hear back in a month at the latest, but when I checked the USCIS app 3 hours later it said “card is being produced” and then yesterday the status changed to “Approved”.

When we left the interview, I was panicked because we were not approved on the spot! Every portland review said that couples were approved at the end of the interview and told to expect their cards in 7-10 days. I guess all

interviewers are different!

Best of luck to all!

I have an aunt in vancoucer WA, maybe its better to move in with them to have portland as field office.. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Congrats!!

AOS from h2a visa, marriage based.

I'm confused about when we can expect my wife's EAD/AP combo card to arrive in the mail. Is there any consistency to these things?

We received the I-797 Notice of Action letter in the mail on October 29, saying her case was approved for EAD and AP. (Action date on the letter is listed as Oct. 25).

When we log into her My USCIS Account site, it lists status "Case Was Approved."  The other site, the USCIS Case Status Online one, just lists status "My Fingerprint Was Completed."

I've read that the card can take 10-14 days after approval. But I've also read that the status should change to "Card Being Mailed" before they actually send the card out. Is that true?  Or do you think the card is already in the mail??

Exactly the same situation here, I called uscis and this week I talked with tier 2. I know there are card received btw 2 weeks after approval. Mine is being a month since approval. I only received emails saying “we are still reviewing your case”

Well, just for informational purposes for anyone who needs it...

I got escalated to Tier 2 because I couldn't file a case inquiry even though we're outside of the normal processing times.

The Tier 2 rep tells me that even though it says "receipt date required for inquiry is May 21st" because it ALSO says 4.5-6 months, we can't make an inquiry until SIX COMPLETE months. smh.

Anyway, she said that we have to wait until 6 months after our NOA1 date to make an inquiry. So I will be calling back next week.

Anyone else think they are full of it??

They are full of it. This process is taking a huge toll on myself and especially my husband. I don't know what to do anymore.  I don't know what they expect people to do when they have to wait 6 months to be treated like a human being.
