So sorry that you have to go through that. Did you send them the actual copy of the 2017 tax return (1040)? The  W-2 is not the tax return form; it's merely a proof of income through an employer.

The W-2 is, unfortunately, not a tax return. We sent in our current tax return (1040), last 3 years of W2, and pay stubs in our initial application.

Thank you.....Yes unfortunately my husband was not aware of this difference. This really does suck but it is what it is 😐

No my husband was unaware of this.   We have a family/friend member that takes care of tax returns for my husband and since i did all the paperwork by myself i did not know about this 1040 form or to ask for it. I really thought the w-2  covered him because it did when we applied for K1.

Guys question: I know its been 3 days since they received my response but I see that my date is close for the I-131 and I-765 in the Processing times. Can I or is anyone gone through this situation, ask for a info pass if our date comes up? or should we wait to see if it comes or I hear anything next month? November 18 will be officially 6 months not including the RFE TIME

I’d suggest you wait until you hear from them. It usually doesn’t take long after they receive your RFE response. After a week or if it’s too long, 2 weeks.

Hi, I just sent my RFE response on Wednesday  and it arrived today . I wonder how long they will look at my response? Do you get update on your case that they received your RFE? I did an infopass last week and the officer were very helpless and didn’t tell me anything. But it is worth trying you might meet a good officer and can be helpful to you. But I do think the efficient way is to contact your Congress man and you will get a result very soon that way!

Your husband must have the 1040 tax form now. It is a easy fix if your husband earnings is over 125% of the poverty line of two people is $20575. If he doesn’t meet that , find an joint sponsor. You will be fine .  You can do it in a week , less than 18 days

Another question: Have some of you recieved your EAD/AP cards without being notified?? Like it just arrives?? My cousin got hers last month without notification  soooo Im praying thats out case

We will get the evidence we need it just sucks we have to pay 675$ instead of just receiving a RFE to settle this. I was told on the phone after a case has been granted an interview, the case moves to another office to have a final decision. I think that is ridiculous because it gave me hope and excitment to get my greencard, but they have this unprofessional system that leaves people stressed and disappointed. I have 2 joint sponsers, with combined income im ok

Yeah , it sucked. I waited four months and they gave me an RFE. But now maybe you can get a 10 years green card

We have had 0 updates on the status of my husband's EAD since they marked it as received.  Even after completing biometrics there's been no change.  I have just been checking the mail and hoping.  There hasn't been an RFE or anything.  Just silence.

 

Our AOS changed to Ready to Schedule Interview but I reckon that doesn't mean much since it can take months and months from that status update to get an interview.  

 

I do hope something shows up in the mail but it would be nice if they paid attention to their system and updated it so we weren't completely in the dark, especially after waiting so long already.

I didn't get a text or email when they approved my EAD, but I have an app with the old website, so I got the notification from there, the new website was still with "biometrics complete.. "

If you re apply and it might take longer. After two years of your marriage , you can get 10 years green card
