How long does it take to get the mail after RFE notice ? I just got an RFE notice today. And it stops my EAD.

Thanks 😊! My RFE was for a dumb mistake I did, for the sponsorship I put that my husband makes a little over the poverty line this year but didn’t send any proof of that since I was going mostly by my co-sponsor. So I just changed the number lower, sent them the updated form and letter of employment. Thankfully they accepted it quickly 😀

Hey, just a question! Do you think USCIS can send a RFE for i-485 even after issuing EAD/AP? Has anyone had  similar experience? am just curious. I have received my EAD/AP and just wonder.

Incorrect. I got an RFE for my I-485 last June and I know it paused my EAD/AP as well because in July, I requested to expedite EAD based on financial loss and there was a job offer to go alongside with the expedite. In August, they just looked at my EAD and didnt do nothing because I have not submitted my RFE documents.

 

long story short, we submitted our RFE documents in August, and its been almost two months and still no update, USCIS case tracker still states that they submitted an RFE to us as of June. I've contacted a tier two officer and they said an RFE will pause your other applications.

Yes it will. It sucks, but it is what it is. also sucks at how wherever your application is located, some field offices are faster compared to other ones based on where you live.

My EAD is on the way. The status on the USCIS website was changing (updates) - now i can even track by the tracking number!

Also, if you fill in your VisaJourney profile dates and check the timeline it gives expected adjudication dates for your case. Click on timeline from your profile.

We got my husband's EAD card in the mail on Friday! Now I need to open a checking account for him. How long should we expect to wait for the SS card? (We checked the box on the EAD application.)
