Y'all have to keep in mind that this is like the K-1 process

Applications are TYPICALLY processed in the order received but one person isn't doing this job at USCIS--
There are many people carrying boxes of applications. One person might be faster than another, plus not every case is the same. How long it takes to look at ur case is not how long it will take to look at someone else's. And they are NOT going to wait to finish looking at yours before looking at someone else.
If something comes up in ur background whilst they review, they track it down, and in the meantime, continues on with others.

So- they are definitely looking at May applications.
Which means y'all are hopefully going to be hearing within the month. If not by end of next month, then I think that makes u outside of normal processing and u can inquire about that

But I think you can only inquire after 6.5 month according to their website

Hey everyone,

My Husband's EAD status has just changed to "New Card is Being Produced" !! Also, we did not request for it to be expedited.

Case Received: 5/16/2018

New Card Being Produced: 9/20/2018

No news on I-485 though. Biometrics was in early June.

After speaking with a uscis officer I found out that it’s in no particular order. It’s just whatever shows up on there desk first And which office location it is.

I hope so.. any case.. I filed for an expedite request. My husband and son is on my Health insurance and I am on H1B currently that is about to expire and renewal is pending. I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and cannot lose my health insurance !! so lets hope the expedite request comes through and my card is published !

I talked to the customer service one min agao, the officer told me they currently processing EAD files for March 2018, and their processing time no longer 90days, is 6.5 months to be exact, which is April and May filers haven’t got your EAD at the time being still in the time frame.

This is frustrating, when we think that May filers started to get their combo card means USCIS is working on May files already... but I think the file piles may be pull out randomly by year not by date order.

The official response from USCIS is not what is really happening. If you look at the current processing times for I-765 it says they are processing March.

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

The phone support staff is going to tell you the "official" date according to the website. This is so that USCIS doesn't get a huge amount of calls asking about applications. If you look at the responses on this forum, there are definitely people from all of May who have had their applications approved. Hang in there it will be coming soon. 🙂

I truly hope that they are working on May files now, even June, saw some June filers got their EAD approved notice, which gives me hope that July file piles is no longer deep underneath the drawer🤣

well, they told me to hang in there even half year of waiting without employment or even cant get a driver license is not human but not their concern 😆  YOU GONNA WAIT UNTIL WE SAY SO is the word.... oh god 😒

So, I got my ead approval yesterday.. its not all good news though..

I called today to make sure my address was up to datr since I moved in August  did ar11 and called uscis 3 times since I moved to make sure address was current. Today, the rep told me that none of those went through and I might get the ead in my old address because I just technically changed my address today..

I do hope though that it won't be the case..

So anyone that will be moving  make sure to call them until the address is actually changed, don't trust what the reps say when they say it went through  make sure to call the next day to verify the change..

Mine is up to usps if they'll send it to my new address or they'll send to my old one.. :(

Sorry to hear that, Is it possible to hold the mails at USPS with your old address?

thanks for letting us know to double check the changed of address via phone, I will definitely do both change it online and call in to verified.

I’m about to move to our new house within a month and wondering if I got my add changed 2 weeks before moving In case the changes with their system didn’t happened timely.

Do you think change your address makes your process quicker?  Like if you move to a faster local office area

Yeah, i'll go to usps and see if they can hold it. I'll also just maybe go to our old address and see if whoever moved there could look out for it. At least, I'm still in the same city.

they'll tell you to wait until you actually move but just go do the ar11 online then call every day until your new address is what they have in their system.

Do. Not. Trust. Their. Word.

I did the ar11 online. I got confirmation but never paid attention if i got an email.

I moved aug 1, i called the first time mid july, thaat said i have to call when i actually already moved.

Called aug.1, they said ok, we're changed it,  you're good.

Called again mid august, change didn't go through,  the rep changed it again.  Said he finally really did it.

Called sept 5, still wasnt changed. Same spiel, you're good to go, i changed it.

Called sept 14. Still not changed.

Then called today.  Re did ar11 online. Talked to the mythical tier 2. Promised that it's changed but since my ead is in production, she can't promise that it will go to the new address since it takes 10 days to update their system and if the card was mailed before the change, its still going to the old address.

So, i'll see. I hope it's ok. I was informed that if they sent it to the wrong address and it didn't go back to uscis, or it got lost, i'll have to re apply all over again.
