Definitely go job hunting! It takes atleast a month or two to actually hear from employers..

My husband has had 3 interviews but couldn't accept any of the job offers because of lack of EAD. Ugh. Still waiting. No end in sight.

We received our interview scheduled notice for 10/10/2018. Also received the approval notice of EAD/AP and that cards will be in the mail soon. Perhaps by the weekend or early next week!

Did you get approval for both ap and ead at the same time?

Yeah I got two approval receipts one for each. Also, in the EAD approval notice, it mentioned that I will have an AP stamp (I-512? I think?) on it so it’s a combo card.

To my understanding they state that they go by order with the EAD/AP..the AOS goes depending on your closes center....why are June filers already getting theirs? There are acouple of JUNE filers ...not fair for us 😔...I mean congrats for them! But hey cant help feeling a bit angry at the fact.... 115 days and nothing

I know we all are impatiently waiting but I’m not sure if it’s justified to get angry on later filers lol. Although it is true that they go by the priority date, there are two other things that are crucial based on my understanding as well as what one of the level 1 support staff told me: one major factor in all of this is that they look at your country of origin and/or where your passport is from as well as your local office and how busy it is. So currently, the most scrutinized nations are in the following order:

1) Mexico

2) China

3) India

These are obviously due to the high immigration numbers from these nations so we can expect delays is what they say. But that’s just my understanding so we don’t know what happens behind the scenes.

My PD is May 24. 

 

I did AOS from F-1 student visa, not K-1.
