Hi Guys,i received my ead card on 24th of this month and yesterday status was updated to my interview was scheduled,how long does it take to get the interview notice in the mail after been scheduled for interview?I am a may 2018 filer.

Interview letter comes in about a week or so
Give it 2 weeks for good measure before panicking

it took about 6 days for our case

Congrats on your interview getting scheduled. I am just wondering what your priority date is ??

My local field office is also Detroit and my priority date is June 1st 2018. I just wanna estimate the waiting time for Detroit office.

Removal of Conditions:

08/20/2020 (Day 0)   --- Sent the ROC package to Phoenix, Arizona lockbox through USPS
08/22/2020 (Day 2)   --- Confirmation from USPS that USCIS received the packet.

08/28/2020 (Day 😎  --- NOA1 notification through email and text for the ROC.

09/02/2020 (Day 13) --- Received I-797, 18 month extension letter with notice date as 08/27/2020. 😇

10/17/2020 (Day 58) --- Received Biometrics notification through email and text that finger prints were applied from AOS stage.😁

06/11/2021 (Day 295) --- New Card is produced :dance:

 

Naturalization & US passport:

07/26/2021 (Day 1) --- Applied the form N-400 online and got the receipt notice.

07/28/2021 (Day 3) --- Received Biometrics notification in USCIS online account that finger prints were reused.😁

12/20/2021 (Day 148) --- Received online notification that Interview is scheduled for 01/27/2022 at Detroit USCIS Field Office.:dance:

01/27/2022 (Day 186)   --- Interview was successful but not given out right approval due to A-file not being available.

04/07/2022 (Day 256) --- Received notification that I am in line for Oath ceremony and it will be scheduled :dance:

04/11/2022 (Day 260)   --- Received notification that Oath ceremony was scheduled and notice was mailed. :jest:

 04/26/2022 (Day 275) --- Oath Ceremony.:jest: Became a US Citizen and received the Certificate of Naturalization. 🥰

05/11/2022 (Day 290) -- Applied for US passport at USPS.

05/18/2022 (Day 297) -- State Department site status says my Passport application is received and in progress and was given a locator number starting with 34.🤞

I just checked my USCIS account and it said that they are working on my case at the Louisville Field office location. Does it imply that my case is no longer at  the NBC??

 

"As of June 26, 2018, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxx, at our Louisville Field Office location. We will let you know if we make a decision or need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

What I know is you can get into trouble for working without a work authorization. I don't think you would actually get into trouble for looking a job.

no you won't get into trouble for getting a job offer.

I read lots of posts here members got a job offer and applied for expedite EAD.

Ofc when you apply for your job you have to let the employer know your situation (I.e. you can't work till you get your EAD).

  • (Day 1) May 16 2018 - Mail arrived Chicago Lockbox (confirmed by USPS) 
  • (Day 19) Jun 04 2018 - Received email & SMS notification - case received (All money orders being cashed on this day)
  • (Day 24) Jun 09 2018 - Received all receipts (NOA) from USCIS, also the Biometrics Appointment letter (Appointment date: Jun 18) 
  • (Day 33) Jun 18 2018 - Arrived Helena ASC at 9.15am (Appointment at 10am), finished at 9.35am (Yea it was super quick!)
  • (Day 35) Jun 20 2018 - Received SMS & Email notification request for evidence for my I-485
