We got our biometrics letter Friday. It’s not for another 2 weeks so I’m hoping to do a walk in next week. How was your experience? Did you go to the Alexandria office?

I did my biometrics app the end of June and it was in Wheaton office in Maryland. It was really quick and easy. I am not sure which office it's gonna be mine for the interview - Baltimore or DC one. DC seems to have lots of cases and i don't think that it can be so many just from the District so, who knows, maybe that's DMV area as well

Hi everyone,i just sent a fax copy of the proof of employment to uscis for expedite as stated in the mail i got from uscis...does anyone know when to get a response back from them...pls i need your response guys..thank you

took them two weeks to respond to us after evidence was sent. no text or email, just case status switched over to card being produced

Did you mail or fax? I tried to fax and their phone was always busy. 

So I mailed. After three weeks, today, I checked my case, it said it is assigned to an officer to respond. I don’t know what is going to happen. I think mailing is slowing the process maybe.

What about yours?

I faxed it, the fax was received first try. We got lucky here. Heard lots of people having issues with their fax! 

From the day fax received to the day switched to approved was exactly two weeks and we heard nothing inbetween.

We didn't even send a job offer. We had a recent change in financial situation/income and explained it in a cover letter and included copies of bank statements, bills, etc. 

 

Along with proof that he is looking for a job and proof that we were working with a company on getting his degree evaluated so he can look for work.

Did you check your case status? I just checked my case history and it said that It was completed but didn’t say they approve or deny

On the 9th they switched to we have approved the production of your new card. Yesterday the 13th card was mailed out

We also received our formal letters NOA's yesterday

Yesterday we just found that we're pregnant, do we need to update the officer during interview (scheduled on Aug 23) or not? or they don't care?

No job offer. 

Expedite request was due to, recent change in income/financial situation. Outlined in cover letter with documentation to support it - bank statements, bills, etc

We did include a copy of his degree, and proof that we are working on getting his degree evaluated to allow to start to apply for jobs.

You can tell your officer when you have the interview, that might help your case to get approved.
