Anyone knows that, why after my biometric appointment, my case status never changed to ready for an interview. I called uscis and my case is still in NVC. Seems nobody looked into my case at all? I even didn’t get RFE. I wonder who requested RFE, the NVC or local office? If you get RFE, does that mean your case is in local office already? Thanks

NBC*

I think it depends because AOS goes to local office and EAD and AP stay in NBC. With my rfe I had to send my document to I would say my local office.

I don't know if you already have an account but you can try checking your status here https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

I guess I don’t understand is, why my case is still on NBC , just lying there without anybody to look at.

I have my account online and nothing changed since my biometric appointment.

i guess your case is in the local office now so you are in a line waiting for interview. But my case is still in NBC ..

Thanks

Well, my status never changed like others "ready to schedule interview"  AOS says they received my rfe and they are working on my case now.

EAD and AP say they got my biometrics and they will tell me if they need something else.

Let's hope we are gonna get some good news soon.

mine too. But they had my I-485 status changed to "interview was being scheduled"

I think if so I don't need to worry about the AP and EAD status right? Or do I still need to keep an eye on them?

You will have your green card interview soon, don’t worry about your EAD and AP. Because if you have your GC you don’t need EAD and AP.

My AOS is in line for an interview, but I was never told it got transferred to my local office. My EAD status never changed since received. I would call USCIS and ask. I called to ask about my EAD status after the biometrics (the appointment was for both AOS&EAD). They explained it's normal not to change for EAD, and that my case has no red flags.

Even my AOS doesn’t change status. I called and they didn’t know either :(

so the estimated range for EAD for a pending AOS through marriage is now between 5 to 7 months. At this rate, it's safe to say that people will soon have to wait for a year just to get an EAD. That's insane!

I think it is insane that some people get their GC interview in three month and some people have to wait for a year.. We are thinking doing a info pass, I don’t think that will help, but we have to try.

Hey yall....question: online our case says ready to schedule interview as of july 24th....how long does it usually take until it goes to interview was scheduled?

thanks in advance

It takes as long as your local field office
"ready to schedule for interview" merely means that your case will not be receiving RFEs and the such.

If you have a backed up field office, then you might be waiting almost a year for an interview
