Hello! Has anyone changed the address? I changed for my AOS, EAD and AP within on application online, and have received the confirmation receipt only for AOS. I called USCIS today, the representative told me that I need to wait for 30 days after changing, and call them in case I don't get. I assume I should have received the address change confirmation letters (EAD, AP, AOS) one at the same time. What do you think? Should I submit separate application for EAD and AP additionally? Or should I wait for 30 days. Actually, I am a bit doubtful about any responses from USCIS. And yeah, no updates after biometric appointment (June 13), and it's getting unbearable!!!

Yes I changed my address and it majorly screwed me. There's a really easy to miss box in the address change form that you have to check. I think my *mailing* address never changed and that's why I kept receiving notices at my old address. Then USPS was taking a month to forward everything. If you're not sure if you checked that box, my suggestion is to submit the change of address request again and make sure to check the box under the mailing address section. The user experience is insanely misleading and confusing. I'm sorry you're also going through this. :( Unfortunately the phone support people won't do anything to help when it comes to address changes...

06-25-2018: Response to RFE sent

06-27-2018: Response to RFE arrived at USCIS

07-07-2018: Change in online status: RFE response received

07-10-2018: Biometrics (went before appointment & to a different office)

07-12-2018: AOS case status updated to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview”

09-29-2018: EAD case status updated to "New card is being produced"

Thanks a lot for the reply.  Will call them tomorrow. I have separately filed the address change again, and have checked the box you have mentioned. Hope this mess will end one day! Thanks a lot once again and good luck!

Does that mean , we wait several months and got denied and have to apply again ? If we didn’t send something necessary at first ?

It seems so. Basically - only apply if you have money (for their fees, for the extra time, etc).

What gets me is that they are not transparent enough. My AOS is ready to be scheduled for the interview. Does it mean I won't get an RFE, and therefore this new policy won't affect me? There are no clear steps in their evaluation of our cases.

I think it won’t affect you until September but if you still didn’t get your GC after September, we don’t know what would happen..

Just got the update "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

I know we may have to wait for months now but it´s good to know that they are working on the applications. I had my biometrics on June 18th, there was no update at all and I started to worry... Keeping my fingers crossed for everybody here🍀

Hi,  did anyone from LA (May filer) get an update after biometrics appointment? I assume LA office is the most overloaded...

You would be shocked
LA is actually doing okay because there are many offices (I think 2-3 in the area) that handle that workload

Houston, Atlanta, Chicago and NY are the busiest right now

but anyway- it might take some time for you to hear something.
It's not really clear what order they process these things
