Hello everyone! Hope you're doing great! Today I received 2 messages from USCIS saying " We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time. We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on June 20, 2018". I assume it is an automatically generated message, and the USCIS algorithm is smart enough to identify either too many attempts to check my case status (yeah, I spend too much time on USCIS website) or generate similar messages in case of inactivity from USCIS's side. Has anyone experienced similar situation?

May 2nd mailed via usps

May 3rd received by uscis

May 10th check cashed

May 11th - Notice of acceptance I-797 text & email notification I-130 / I-765 / I-485

May 25 Biometrics notification / scheduled June 4th - Biometrics completed

June 6th - Testing and Interview notification via email / text messages

July 5th - Notice for Interview

Scheduled interview - August 9

Hi everyone! Just have a question for those of you out there who might came across the same situation like mine. My mom's petition was case complete July 3rd and today, I got an email from NVC telling me to add an additional cosponsor for my mom and just bring the signed and date form during her interview. 

My Uncle who is out of state will be my additional cosponsor. My question is, which AOS form should he use? Thanks in advance.

I believe the form should be the I-864, affidavit of support. Make sure to include the supporting documents with it (tax returns, W2's, etc). Good luck!

Hi, Noticed that no one answered your question. Think about joining  the May 2018 I-129f filers thread, where you can communicate with other who are at the same point in the process as you are. There you would be able to get a much faster response to your questions - I think :unsure:. However, here is a summary.

 

-NOA 1 notice (I assume you received this already)

-NOA 2 notice of approval

-File is transferred to NVC - NVC assigns a case number (They usually send a letter or you may call to get the case number

-NVC transfers file to local embassy

-When case shows "Read" this usually indicates that the local embassy now has the case/file.

-Contact local embassy for any special in instructions or they may contact you. (this may differ per country)

-Complete DS 160 online

-Schedule Medical

-Pay fee and schedule interview

-Gather  docs for interview (remember the onus is on you to prove that you have a bonafide relationship)

- Interview

 

If you join a I-129 thread they should be able to fresh these out more for you.

Thanks so much for the respond. So, i-864 just like what i submitted and not i-864a  coz he is not in out household right?

Yes. I had the same message. Still no update after my biometric appointment

Thank you! This is really scary! That means if we fail the interview, we would be deported right away?? Can’t even have a trial or lawyer ？
