Hi Everyone,

I am May 2018 filer.

Done with biometrics last June 4, 2018. Case status online changed from Fingerprint fee received to Case ready to be scheduled but until now haven't got any update yet.

I am from Sacramento. Anybody from Sacramento in this group?

Hope we could receive our EAD soon.

Regards,

Raffa

AOS Jouney:

May 3, 2018- Submitted Packet to chicago Lockbox

May 4, 2018- PD date for i-765, i-131

May 7, 2018- Received according to USCIS signed by R Mercado

May 9, 2018- PD Received by the National Benefits Center i-485

May 18, 2018- Notice date for Biometrics

June 4, 2018- Biometrics done

June 7, 2018- Case changed online from “Fingerprint Fee received” to “case Ready to be scheduled for an interview”

The fastest way to get your EAD is if you get a job offer and then ask USCIS to expedite your application. Apparently others have done this and were successful - even receiving EAD in just 1 month after applying.

Hello, everyone. Just received a case status update today (from Fingerprints fee received to "case ready to be scheduled for an interview"). I know it's still a waiting game, but I was so happy to receive this because I never got any NOA1 hardcopy for my AOS, AP and EAD applications. I'd been so anxious! I hope this means that all is OK and that I shouldn't be getting any unexpected RFE surprises.....

Congrats on another step finished! As for the missing NOA, one advice would be to register for USPS informed delivery.

Question

I’ve already filed and my husband wants to start a new job now that he’s finished school.

can he do that while my AOS is pending or would I have to re submit the application with the new job?

hes my sponsor but his parents are also my household members sponsoring me too!

I don't think that will be an issue, as you have his parents as co-sponsors. Just remember to  keep the paystubs from the husband's new job, in case they ask at the interview. Good luck!

I would recomend calling again andmaking sure. Usually bio appt comes after a month...and it cant be missed. Just make 100% sure

The bio letter finally came last week, it was forwarded from our old address so it was stuck with USPS. The date had passed so we requested a new appointment in our new state.

Hello everyone! My biometric appointment was on June 13 (May 17: NOA). I haven't received any update so far. I see people filing even after this date receive notification from USCIS (interview scheduling, or RFE). What do you think if it is an issue? Should I contact USCIS?

Hello everyone,

So I had my bio on june 4th a week later my case status changed as of june 11th case is ready for interview. And today i got a text notification that there is an update on my case when i checked it saids finger print review completed. Is it odd that the finger print is completed came three weeks after “my case is ready to be scheduled status”? Has anyone experience this?

I thought it depends on the state and the load of the office. But as I see, even people from my state CA get notification earlier! I am getting worried, lol
