Pay only 1225.  AP and EAD are free if you submit with AOS.

Also, you can be the first to start June 2018 AOS filers thread and bounce between the two 😄

Like the person above said, when you apply for Aos and you send Ead and AP with the packet, you are only paying for the i485 form fee and biometrics fee. That will be $1225

I was wondering if you are sending proof (pictures of the wedding or with family) I know some people say it's not necessary but I think you don't lose anything sending some.

And doble check every application, don't forget to sign. I think you will be okay. 😊

What new procedures? Interesting to know !

I have seen few threats about people that applied for GC in January 2018 already having the GC mailed to them, check timelines for AOS. People are speculating about some new procedures, while cases from 2017 sre still waiting etc.

So are they saying this new procedure (whatever it is) is speeding up the process for 2018 filers?

Hey all.  I just wanted to give everyone a heads up in hopes you don't make the mistake we did.  We accidentally filed our AOS without the EAD and AP.  There was a misunderstanding of the instructions.  I am HOPING that we can still file AP and EAD without paying anymore money.  The instructions have stated that you don't have to pay the $400 fee if you have a receipt showing that you have filed AOS.

The other thing we are doing differently is waiting to get the SSN until EAD is approved.  I'm a bit confused on what a SSN without work authorisation is good for so we're waiting on that.

Let me know if it make sense to anyone.  I just wanted to share what we are doing in the process in case it might assist others.

I-129F Sent: July 5th 2017

I-129F NOA2: January 19th 2018

Interview date: March 8th 2018 - Result is APPROVED!!!

POE USA: April 23rd 2018

Marriage: May 18th 2018

AOS NOA1: May 30th 2018

AOS Biometrics: June 21st 2018

EAD Received Date: June 07 2018

EAD NOA1: June 13th 2018

EAD Biometrics: July 6th 2018

Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview as of October 11th 2018

Yes, you read the instructions right. You can apply for both without paying the fees as long as you submit the I 485 receipt.
