These last weeks have been soooo emotional. I left my family and my dear friends, my country, my job, moved to Florida AND I got married to my soulmate, to the love of my life❤️.

I still can't believe that our dream became true!!

Sent AOS, EAP and AP  on May 22nd and are back in the waiting game...

i've applied, i got it within 2 weeks. I think it depends on the place that you applied and how much load of work they have. You will get it soon

A question! Please advise if you know if there is a way to expedite EAD. In case I have a job offer from the employer, can it serve as a solid ground for expedite? I have read the criteria (financial loss, emergency, etc.) I assume getting a job offer doesn't qualify under any category. Anyway, do you have any thoughts with this regard?

For myself it took a week to receive my initial card, and my updated card with my married name on it. Has your I-94 expired? That would be the only reason why I can see why it's taking so long.

No, haven't expired yet. I applied for SSN after a week of my arrival to the US. I assume it depends on the load of the given office. I applied in Glendale, CA. Nevertheless, I have requested them to once again check my application to see that is the problem. Thanks for the reply.

I have a big problem  On the EAD I wrote (a)(6) instead of (c)(9), what will happen to my AOS application? Is there any way to send a corrected EAD to them without having to wait for them to return the documents?

Hey guys I haven't filed yet, Im doing it by myself and I need some help!!

Do I need to do the advance travel document?

 

Im filing for Adjustment of Status from a k-1 visa.

Hi, I sent my package with USPS last Wednesday and it was supposed to arrived on the evening of Friday. And because of three days holiday, now the status of my package is in transit. Really sucks. Now it is Tuesday and my package is still in transit. I have no idea when I can get my NOA1. I arrived in the USA on May 1st and I can’t believe it took so long for us to mail the package. And we have waited almost a week since last Wednesday and our package is still not arrived. I am really anxious about all this. I came here as a k1 visa holder and I have waited 10 months for K1 and now another long long wait. Really frustrating!

And of course I can’t work now. Waiting is more painful.

he applied back on 4/17. Was told 2 weeks, it never came. Called and were told they could not tell us anything on the phone. Went back into the office and were told he wasn't uploaded into SAVE yet. His POE was 4/02. In the office that day they said they would have to submit physical evidence so they took a copy of his Visa and i-94 and told us we should have in 4 weeks. That was a few weeks ago. Still waiting. That day they did print out his number for him though on the office visit receipt, so he at least has that

Hi - It's not a MUST but most people do in case they need to travel before receiving  their green card. Besides, it is free if you submit the application with the I -485

Welcome! Unfortunately, nothing about this journey will be fast. I understand your frustration but you are not alone. Your NOA1 will come.

I too am waiting and tomorrow will be 2 weeks since they received our packet. Like you said the holiday may have slowed the process. Hopefully they will pick up speed soon.
