Checking in. I'm a pivot case at Guangzhou embassy. NVC received my case 3/27. I called today and they said the case had been input into their system on 5/22. Exactly 8 weeks on the nose. It was a different call from the start because they asked me for names. They never asked that before. They told me it can be up to 4 weeks until the next step, which is receiving an email from the Department of State with directions, but that realistically it can be any day.

Hope that helps!

I get that too actually from day 1. For whatever reason, beneficiary civil docs can be viewed, but AOS docs can't. What's especially annoying is that you can't even view the full filename that you submitted as it gets cut off, and if you use their defined filename standard, then it definitely will get cut off. So, I have no idea if I've even submitted the correct document for certain.

Right?! Okay, glad I’m not the only one. I think I’ve been overthinking everything lately haha. I’m so over the long wait for a CC. I thought this was supposed to be the “fast” part. Oh well.

Hey guys,

Quick question... are there some documents on CEAC that you can view and others that you can’t after you’ve uploaded and submitted? Or am I the only one that’s encountered this? I can view all the beneficiaries documents through CEAC but can’t view any AOS documents. I submitted everything May 10th. Still waiting for CC...

Me too. I just submitted this morning and can only view the documents associated with the applicant plus the document stating the relationship between joint-sponsor and household.

So just wondering..from time nvc received our stuff until cc will take about 4-5 months ??

its best to wait until you get your case number in hand then you will know how long it will take.

right now without the case number and iv we not sure because they can take a bit longer then we expect.

as for me my case was sent May 4, and I am no pivot case, it seem like I will get CC in between September and October.

how can we know that nvc is reviewing our documents? It is showing “submitted” for everything. So will “submitted” be exchanged with another word or will it be cc or “ at nvc” if things go smoothly?

also i submitted my tax returns for 2015,2016, but for 2017 i uploaded the form which i filled for filing since i am living abroad and hadnt gotten a tax return yet. So is that fine?

that is great, you already paid your fee and sent your package?

Not yet 😫 I’m trying to get everything prepared now with documents we need and stuff but I’m going to pay the fees asap so that it opens up ..the only thing i’m Worried about is the police certificate from Ireland..we received a document that specifically said that it isn’t a police certificate when we specifically asked for one..it takes weeks just to mail to them and get a response..nervous about that

YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE ALL OF THAT FROM YOU WAS CLOSE TO GETTING YOUR APPROVAL,OR RIGHT AFTER YOU GET APPROVED, THAT WAY YOU ONLY HAVE TO SEND THEM.

WAIT SO IT TAKE FEW WEEKS TO GET POLICE CERTIFCATE ?

YOU DONT WANT TO GET CHECKLIST.

I SUEGGSET YOU WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THE POLICE CERTIFACTE IN HAND INSEAD SENDING SOMETHING ELSE.
