At a similar location in the i864 I filled 0 for spouse. They would have mentioned 'don't count a person more than once' :) Go filling from top to bottom and the first field that is applicable, you fill in. In this case, you fill in the first field and leave the spouse field 0. Hope it helps! :)

thank You so much :)

Quick question to everyone with a Pivot case ... what was the last NVC receive date currently approved?

I am not sure if I mentioned this before. When I called last Friday, the lady on the phone told me that my case number should be created anytime soon. And surely have it by the beginning of the next week. Not sure what the beginning of next week really means but I would assume Monday/Tuesday.

Anyway, I called yesterday (Tuesday) and I was told that it was forwarded to a supervisor and it could take up to another six weeks but should be calling back sooner to find out. "If I were you...". We are at 10 weeks after receive date and the argument that non pivot cases are slower to receive a cc is a mood point because at this point, non pivot cases received way after ours already have their interview scheduled. I am happy for them but I am unhappy about the lack of transparent communication from the NVC to the pivot case holders.

I am not sure what to think anymore. It is so frustrating. My husband is underway and I am almost glad he is because this is getting to me and wearing me out. So any positive comments or suggestions or just feedback on how much longer we need to wait in your opinion would be greatly appreciated. NVC Receive Date is Feb 22.

What is wrong with NVC??? Why have they stopped giving case numbers to pivot cases? I think the last approved date was Feb 14th or 15th.  My 9th week will end today. This wait is killing me!! :(

It is so frustrating. And the thing is, I totally understand that the customer service staff must surely feel as frustrated about it as we do. My guess, it is absolutely no fun to respond to all these calls...

You should get your case number before this day ends. Wish you the very best!

I have a question as I am going through the I-864 before my husband went underway.

Part 6 - Question 7 "My current individual income is: xxxxx - is this adjusted or gross?

Part 6 - Question 8 "Income you are using from anyone in your household..." - as we have financial co-mingling shouldn't we declare my income? However, we filed for married separately and opted for not declaring my income but now I am not sure if that is correct. Can anyone help?

Household size: Did anyone else find the questions a little confusing? If you as a petitioner do not sponsor yourself, did you put a "0" (zero) or what did you write? The problem we are having is that if we place the figure one (1) in 5.1 and in 5.2 (1) again for the person NOT sponsored but again 5.3 shows another (1) for spouse - then the household size is 3 (three) but we are not? What am I missing???

Our case number got assigned May 1st! Our NVC receive date was March 7th, and we’re a London pivot case. We got our case number via email and have already paid the fees- just waiting I clear so we can upload documents. When we spoke to a supervisor (when they changed our case to pivot) he advised the because they are so backlogged, random cases from non-pivot countries are getting switched to the electronic upload system. He also told us it could restart our 8 week counter. So that was fun extra stress. Thankfully it took just under the 8 weeks.

Congrats. Exact same receive date for us, and nothing.
