ah ok thanks!  So only the NVC needs a translation right or neither do they?

No NVC does not either. I thought the same thing but on our checklist that we got for the police certificate, it said it only needs translation if it is not in english or the language of the country where the interview is being scheduled (Mexico-Spanish) I sent it with no translation and got case complete!

Hi,

NVC reviewed my case (pivot) on May 9th and asked us to re-upload the passport copy with horizontal orientation! I uploaded the copy the same day and it's almost 2 weeks they haven't reviewed again.

Anyone was/is in similar situation? How long would it take?

They seemed to have slowed down the review of Pivot cases lately unfortunately.

If you don't mind me asking, did they want the copy to be in landscape mode? Someone said before that their marriage certificate was rejected because it was scanned horizontally instead of vertically and that it should all be in portrait. So I'm now a bit confused as to how I should upload my documents.

Wow!  I was pretty pissed off when I took my wife's carta de antecendentes to a Notaria in Nogales right by the border wall and they put the document into google translator.  It was a terrible translation for $35.00 bucks that I could have done myself for free.  I wish they would have just said we don't have anybody that speaks a lick of English.  The good thing is the google translation is just good enough to show that the document says no criminal background.  I wish they would have been more clear on that from the beginning because they NVC/USCIS change things without letting anyone know.

NVC Comment: " This document is not in the right-side up position. Please replace this with a scan which displays the words horizontally on the screen."

So the words should be in horizontal, page orientation won't matter.

I'm just prepping my documents for NVC. Are police certificates mandatory? Beneficiary is from Canada. Thanks!

It is a required civil doc for the uploads. Mine took a week to get via mail :) in ab I just went to a local police station and filled out paperwork.

Salut,

Me too, same thing since 10 may

Why is NVC changing their requirements? Before they wanted the documents in portrait and now they sent checklist to some of you saying the words should be displayed horizontally. I have everything ready in portrait. Should I change it?

No that’s still in portrait mode. I mean it’s a passport data page. If you do it horizontally then the words ( which it seems they are saying the (WORDS)) will not be in horizontal position.
