Hi All ,

i was little out of the topic.

But Am so worried for the fact that we got our NOA2 approved on april 15th and still no reply from NVC yet .

No notifications about whther the case is recieved or not neither any case number allocated.

can someone pls expalin what is exactly happening.

Am so worried about the same ...

Also any tentative timelines for process completion ?

Hope someone can help me on same

No worry that is normal.....We also did'nt received any emails that NVC got our case. Just count 7-10 days after NOA2 assumed NVC received it. Then another 7-8 weeks for your Case Number, you will received email this time.

I dont know if India is pivot or non pivot....if pivot you will not filled up the choice of agent, just paid the AOS and IV fee. And for your Tentative dates , around last week of June or first week of July...

I just called this morning about our case - we were pd of 09/29/2017 from Texas, Approved 04/18/2018, sent to NVC 05/07/2018 and NVCreceived 05/16/2018 so you're on track! I would call once a week as others have suggested.

and then complete the case by aug-september?

I don't know your timeline but the case # part would be accurate. It could take up to 8wks. Then they contact you for the papers to send and payment needed. After they receive everything then they contact for interview date. That part is tricky. When I first started looking at those dates it looked like 4 months from whenever they get your package back but it's hard to say. Don't give up!

I had a few questions that I have been thinking about as I wait for a case number (NVC received May 3rd). I thought to collect them all in one post

1: I know Islamabad, Pakistan is pivot embassy but do you send documents via email or upload them via CEAC or it could be either?

2: Do you send a specific set of documents or is it anything you want to add? For example, do you upload supporting documents like pictures of you together or travel itineraries or those are to be brought to the interview only ?

3: Is the I864 scanned and uploaded online as well along with the financial documents?

4: My case arrived at NVC on may 3rd. So its been 3 weeks so far. Is it worth calling them now given the timeline of 8-10 weeks these days for pivot cases or should I wait for another 3 weeks to start asking for case number?

5:  When they setup the interview, is the invitation sent to both the visa petitioner and the agent (myself) and is this sent via email? I ask because snail-mail reliability in Pakistan cannot be trusted.

6: Are IRS transcripts enough or sending the entire Tax return is necessary? I was planning to upload W2 and tax transcripts for the past three years.

7: Are PIVOT cases now actually running behind regular cases in terms of total time to get CC or is it about the same?

8: I am assuming if everything goes well, a rough timeline of July 10-15 for case number, July 25-30 CC and Interview somewhere between august 20-30 and a passport return around sept 20 or so (Islamabad folks please answer based on your experience for the interview and passport return). Is this reasonable. I am trying to plan to travel for my wife’s interview and then to pick her up as well. So trying to plan time off from work and such.

Sorry for the multi-question post but i appreciate the help.

Sorry for the multi-question post but i appreciate the help.

1. It will be upload only

2. You only submit specific documents...there is an option to add others, for example multiple police certificates if you've lived in other countries. But not photos or proof of relationship...that you'll bring to the interview.

3. Yes, I scanned my I-864...you have to since it needs to be signed, plus I hand wrote certain info that it wasn't allowing me to do electronically.

4. You can call NVC at anytime...but they'll just keep telling you to wait...but I would start calling in a few weeks & see what they say.

5. Yes, both my husband & I received emails about the interview

6. Tax transcripts are enough & w-2 isn't needed...but you can upload it if you want

7. I believe pivot cases are taking anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to get case complete once everything is uploaded...it seems to go pretty quick.

8. It's hard to tell the exact timeline since each embassy is different with giving interview dates, whether or not it will go into administrative processing, etc. But someone with experience from that embassy could answer that better than me. Good luck! 😊

Hi,

NVC reviewed my case (pivot) on May 9th and asked us to re-upload the passport copy with horizontal orientation! I uploaded the copy the same day and it's almost 2 weeks they haven't reviewed again.

Anyone was/is in similar situation? How long would it take?
