How long does it take for tax transcript to be delivered by mail?

My wife (petitioner) was having difficulty logging onto the IRS site to request a transcript by email.

So, she opted for snail mail.

The IRS site says 5-10 business days

The request was sent May 11th. She checked her mailbox yesterday, and the letter was there.

It took 6 business days to California

Thank you so much. Same thing happened with my husband so he had to choose snail mail.

No problem.

When we received our NOA2 in February, we were told that it would only take 2 weeks for a case number to be assigned.

At that point, we  had her 2016 transcript ready to be submitted.

By the time we did receive a case number, her 2017 return was processed, so we had to get her 2017 transcript.

I try and take solace in the fact that if we had decided that she would join me, and immigrate to Canada, the process would not be any quicker.

Yeah, we received our NOA2 in February too. Do we need the transcript for just 2017 or the three most recent years?

Disagree... Canada outland app (equiv of IR1) took 4 months from start to finish in 2017, including mailing time. Unless you did DCF, can't possibly be the same time :/ this process has been such a shock after going through a relatively easy process with Canada.

Just the most recent one.

If his 2017 is processed, he has to submit that one

Our joint sponser my uncle also filed for extension,so we should include extension form copy for 2017 along with W2? Will it be fine?

Major difference is in immigrating to Canada, if the spouse IS issued a work permit, it's tempoary and conditional.

Not the same as an IRI, with a Green Card
