Yeah I know what you mean. But maybe you got lucky. I heard if the marriage is more than 2 years, they might working on it quicker. Try calling them on Monday.

My satus is still--> Action required: Submit requested documents. Think they just scanned it today.

We're planning on moving in December, so not really rushing it.BUT... I just want to be done with all this. lol

Yeah, same here, no rush, just want to get it done so we can start planning. We are basically hanging in the last year. And yes, I am hoping for a quick process from now on, I think we are pretty easy case. Married for 5 years, happy parents of the sweetest 2.5 year old (dual citizen) girl. :) Will definitely call Monday, especially because I am getting mixed information. There are 3 versions I found. One here from our fellow VJ members (I found the same explanation somewhere else too). The second is that they received the packet, but it’s in queue for reviewing (I hope not this one :)). The third could be a CC, but the AOS fee in the ceac system should turn to N/A, instead of the “paid” I have (but this one obviously can happen anytime if I get lucky). Unfortunately I cannot plan, but I hope for September moving 🤞

Major update on our petition today....

they went from saying....

"please wait 8 weeks for a case number to be assigned"

to

"there is no specific time frame for us to assign a case number by"

(so expect a case number sometime between 'now', and 'the end of time').

Are you Pivot? Our case was recently received at NVC but it is PIVOT. You are the one of the few I've seen on here with a vj from Ireland.

Well I hope its gonna be good news. Let us know how it goes. We were planning on September but there was a hiccup with our original joint sponsor, and had to find a different one. So my hubby decided to extend his contract til December.  You're absolutely right, better not plan until we get the visa in hand. :D We can only hope. lol.

They sent ours in January, they were being quickly back then. So maybe you shouldn't compare it with mine.

hey!

i'm not sure what to do because on the welcome email from NVC they said to upload the documents on the CEAC website but then on the cover sheet it's writen :

Quote

You MUST RETURN THIS COVER SHEET with the Petitioner's completed forms and supporting documents.
Failure to do so will delay your visa(s). Please attach this page to the front of the documents for this case and mail to:

National Visa Center
Attn. CMR AOS

31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100
Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

what should i do?

Where did you get the cover sheet? If it's on CEAC, then you should ignore it. I have the same and my case is also electronic.

The next step wouild be you payment on  AOS and IV, then your DS 260....You can do all of that on Internet. Then the preperation for your AOS documents. ...If you think if will not take most of your time, you can have your few days vacation.
