Gosh - what was I thinking! I thought the NVC stage would be a fast process. How wrong I was. 8 business days of waiting for a cc and at this rate counting ...

I had to vent. I know I am not the most patient person on the planet (as my husband rightly acknowledges).

Just in case, if anybody is still interested: Research indicates that we need three aspects to be met in order for us to feel happy in life. (1) be part of a group or a good sense of belonging (2) Appreciation - feeling valued, appreciated and acknowledged, and (3) last but not least - having a sense of control over your own life. Hahaha - that went down pretty fast.

Okay, off to happier thoughts now.

Nonsense.

I'm not in America so my husband is the one calling them luckily because I would've been a lot less pleasant to talk to since I am getting frustrated. They asked for DOB last Friday so hopefully that means soon!

Just don’t divorce your husband once you get to America, he’s doing so much for you.

And then I am also trying to end my Nogales,Mexico to Tucson commute for work.  It’s just a lot of things that are causing us to want to finish off the process as quick as possible.  In July the Nogales,AZ office is going to have openings and my thought process is if they can’t get me a case number by then I will transfer my job to Nogales and force NVC to wait on us till February 2019 😂😂so my spouse can get an IR1 instead of a CR1.

Okay, all of my calling worked and we got a case number today! I was able to log in and pay both the fees. No ability to pick an agent or anything though. Isn't that odd? So I guess they weren't lying when they said that they elevated my case to a supervisor.

Pivot cases do not choose an agent, we get to skip this step! Now you just wait until the fees are processed & the ds-260 will open up & you'll be able to upload your docs as well 😊

Oh wow! That's even better! I feel such relief. 2 days short of 8 weeks for that case number. They aren't kidding when they say "please wait up to 8 weeks."

Good luck with your interview! :)

NVC received my application on May 2nd, so roughly two weeks ago. If 8 weeks to get a case number is true, it means I have to wait another 6 weeks at least. :(

This will be the longest 6 weeks of my life.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the 2018 Waiting Games.
