So, as with most of you (I'm sure), I've been calling the NVC every single business day. So much so that I've pretty much memorised their speech.

Every day, they tell me "We received your petition on March 23rd, please allow up to 8 weeks to get a case number."

Well, today, I was told to call back and push menu option 5 (I'd been doing 3). So I did. And I was told:

"We received your petition on May 11th, please allow up to 8 weeks to get a case number."

That was 4 days ago. I've been waiting almost 2 months. So, that really freaked me out.

After explaining my whole situation to this fella, I was told they have a new system and it's all electronic and blah blah blah and he said I was elevated to a supervisor. Is that good? Or is that just some nonsense he told me to get me off the phone? Anyone else have a similar story?

I've seen it happen to a couple others where their country first started out as non-pivot but is in the process of shifting to pivot. Didn't seem to affect their timeline at the end of the day, at least in the sense that pivot cases take 8-10 weeks to assign the case number from the time that NVC first confirms they've received your petition, which is in this case for you, March 23. Sorry, nerve wracking for sure.

Both of the fees in CEAC finally show paid! Now for my lawyer to fill out the form and send the packet. I hope they plan on doing it soon. I've sent them numerous emails to get an update from them but they haven't responded for some reason. If I don't hear from them by tomorrow late afternoon, I plan on giving them a call. I know I'm not their only case, but some sort of response would be nice.

We're currently filling out the DS-260. They ask for every address lived at, but we can't recall the addresses. It's a lot of dorm type rentals for relatively short periods, many throughout the past several years. Never even knew the addresses. We thought we could just enter the city name, but since the form requires street addresses, we don't know what to enter. Any thoughts on this?

That is true went to that struggle, and the hardest part that time was if no action,it will be automatically logged out so I was kicked before I finished typing multiple address hmmmm but I figure out how to do it in the end ......

Any CC's lately? I'm waiting patiently after submitting checklist documents on CEAC. First round only took them a week to review but its already been more than two weeks since I submitted the new docs and still no word. Calling NVC is hopeless, they don't tell me anything other than "it can take up to 6 weeks to review..." which is completely untrue from what I've seen.

Timeline:

PD: 6/18/17

NOA2: 12/26/17

Case #: 4/18/18

Invoice Paid Immediately, DS-260 & others opened up 4/20

Checklist: 4/27

Uploaded again 4/30

No news since :(

Hey team! I've been scouring through the Wikis' and forums, but the search feature isn't the best on this site, so i apologize if this is a "silly" question.

I received Case Number late last evening. I logged on and paid invoices immediately. The Wiki and other sources are stating I need to file a DS-261, for choosing an agent or declaring myself an agent, etc. But I can't seem to find that form. Even on the CEAC, the header at the top, "Choice of Address & Agent", is not clickable. Do I need to fill out this form? Is there a delay on availability due to fee processing?
