I'm not in America so my husband is the one calling them luckily because I would've been a lot less pleasant to talk to since I am getting frustrated. They asked for DOB last Friday so hopefully that means soon!

Yup, I would expect that you would get the case number then either end of this week or beginning of next week. Hang in there... it blows.

If it makes you feel any better, getting pissed does absolutely nothing for your case, good or bad, and neither does escalating to a supposed supervisor who pretty much feeds you the same line as a front line rep.

You can also call by using Hangout Dialer (free calls)

Oh I've never even heard of that!

Thank you, you too! They started asking last week when I called on Thursday.

That's great! Hopefully it means we will both get good news soon

Let's hope that's true! Yes I know that's why I'm happy my husband can call and keep me from getting more frustrated and possibly saying some things that's best left unsaid.

Looks like IV and AOS fees are now pending in bank account, so hopefully status on CEAC changes to "Paid" today or tomorrow. Minute it opens up, everything is getting uploaded.

Timeline:

NOA2 - Feb 13

NVC Received - Mar 7

Escalated to supervisor - May 2

Asked for names/DOBs for first time - May 3

Escalated to supervisor attempt #2 - May 10

Case # Assigned - May 11 @ 7:35pm PST

Fees Paid - May 11 @ 8:30pm PST

Bank shows pending for both IV and AOS fees - May 15

Pivot case, wish it hadn't been. C'est la vie.

We're currently filling out the DS-260. They ask for every address lived at, but we can't recall the addresses. It's a lot of dorm type rentals for relatively short periods, many throughout the past several years. Never even knew the addresses. We thought we could just enter the city name, but since the form requires street addresses, we don't know what to enter. Any thoughts on this?

So, as with most of you (I'm sure), I've been calling the NVC every single business day. So much so that I've pretty much memorised their speech.

Every day, they tell me "We received your petition on March 23rd, please allow up to 8 weeks to get a case number."

Well, today, I was told to call back and push menu option 5 (I'd been doing 3). So I did. And I was told:

"We received your petition on May 11th, please allow up to 8 weeks to get a case number."

That was 4 days ago. I've been waiting almost 2 months. So, that really freaked me out.

After explaining my whole situation to this fella, I was told they have a new system and it's all electronic and blah blah blah and he said I was elevated to a supervisor. Is that good? Or is that just some nonsense he told me to get me off the phone? Anyone else have a similar story?

My wife moved a lot over the years. We had to use Google maps with street view to get some of the addresses. I would say use your best guess. From what I could tell they mainly use this list to determine for which countries you need police clearances.

As microdisney said above, just give your best guess. I don't think they'll cross verify every single address ;)
