Hello everyone, please what does it mean when a rep tell you your case is in line for a review?

Your case is yet to be reviewed.

So I called NVC for the second time since my NOA2. It's been almost a week since Potomac sent my case to NVC. When do they stop giving you the 6 weeks to 8 weeks spiel and tell you when the case is received? I just want to know that so I can start my weekly countdown.

Took about a week for Texas after I got the update on the USCIS website. They'll tell you they received case on x date, and it'll take 8 weeks from that point.

Hello everyone,

I am sorry to ask - we received the case number on Thursday and I was able to pay both fees immediately. As of Friday, they are no longer pending on your bank account and have been deducted. I was hoping it would show PAID on the ceac site today. How long does it usually take? We are a pivot case.

Sending you all a big thank you for all the awesome help we have so far received!

How long did it take for your payment to change from "PROCESSING" to "PAID"?

Yeah I guess I'll try again at the end of the week. USCIS sent it May 1 so hopefully they'll have it by the end of the week so I can start my 8 week countdown.

Hi everyone,

Ive a question about I-864 and I-864a form

Ive I-864 form from my husband as  sponsor and mother in law as joint sponsor. Do I need to submit I-864a form from joint sponsor's husband even if my both sponsor resides in same house and and is sufficient showing income?

Thanks

Hi Pooh. So I am applying for my wife. I am filling I-864 and my sister (married) filling out I-864 and I-864a as well but what I know that since my sister file her taxes as married then my brother in law also have to fill out I-864a. Eventhough he is not co-sponsor. I hope this help. I also told my wife to ask an agent in India and as soon as I hear anything from them. I'll let you know.

So Guys today finally our CEAC status change to (Ready)

I just called NVC they told me that as your case is expedited so embassy will deal with you and give you instructions and interview date.

NVC can do nothing in this case now.

I will call ISLamabad Embassy tomorrow to know about interview date and medical instructions.

If they dont scedule interview we will do it manually.

Just a random question, isn't the guideline around 25K for household of 3? Because that is what I remember seeing somewhere. I tried to look up now and according to this website it says actually 20K for the same household number. When you say 35K how did you get that?

Thanks!

35k was a random number 😊 and we really don’t know the size of the entire family too 😜. I just wanted to highlight that the income should be well in excess of the amount as per the guidelines. :)

it sounds about right however I spoke to my lawyer and he mentioned that if person sponsoring me my husband files federal income tax separately and my mother in law who's sponsoring me have high salary way surpassing required limit and stay in same house then I-864a is not supposed to be filed. I'm just little confused however I really don't know much it is really confusing

Let me know what your agent have to say.

Thank you

That is the date the rep at NVC told me on the phone, it could be 04/27 or 04/28.
