Hi! Well, I haven`t got my CC yet...I was expecting to get it yesterday... since I`ve been checking on some timelines and they`re getting theirs in a week...You got yours in 8 days right? 8 days for me today so I think i will be getting mine this next week.

I'm following you btw... and here's the link!

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?op6=All&op66=All&op7=Brazil&op1=3&op2=&dfile=No&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5%2C6%2C8%2C10%2C11%2C13%2C14%2C15%2C16%2C17%2C18%2C20%2C21%2C22%2C25%2C26%2C27%2C28%2C108%2C110%2C111%2C208%2C210%2C211&cfl=0

Yeah, mine took 8 days. I’ve seen people in Brazil getting case complete between 7 to 14 days, I believe yours is coming soon. Thanks for sharing the link :)

Thank you! I hope your get your CC and interview date soon too!! I update my timeline as soon as I find out so please follow and you’ll be notified. Sometimes I forget to notify individually.

It’s a possibility. I just have no experience with a case that completely bypassed the NVC. I do know that when people get a date from NVC and want to reschedule then they contact the embassy directly. So yeah call the NVC and maybe call twice so you talk to two different reps. Some NVC reps don’t always give an accurate information. You can also email the embassy. All of them have online forms where you can submit a query or email address so you can ask them too.

Normally according to people in my cr1 group they have been talking about it here are the pointers I have learned after:

In-transit wait for 1-3days                                when your  status  says:

READY you can set up an appointment and register for medical bring your expedited letter they will look for it during medical .......

original aos must be brought during interview.....

if you have not done your ds260 go online do it, when your case is ready it will be accessible because even expedited needs to fill up ds260, you will bypass nvc aos fee but aos docs and ds260 need to be done they will look for it during your interview I think you need to show it or hand it....

But if you have question you need to contact your us embassy in your place since your case is being transferred already the jurisdiction is under them now not nvc anymore so they are the best person to answer good thing no need for you to do long distance :)

Hope this will help a little bit but for your peace of mind and assurance call your embassy tell them you got expedited and so on and so forth......

Thank you! I am still waiting for case number. Alright, I'll check your timeline.

You're still waiting for a case number? I'm so sorry, that is the worst wait. Wasn't your NVC receive date early Feb? I thought yours was close to mine (Feb 1st). I hope you get your case number soon!

Yes, it's frustrating. My NVC receive date is Feb 28. Hopefully, I should get case number this week. Thanks for your wishes. 😊

Nope. If you are able to get sufficient amount with the two persons' income, then nothing more is required. :)

SO no joint sponsor I-864a is needed if two sponsors are  able to prove sufficient income

In my case, my wife’s brother was the joint sponsor and he filed i864a for me since my wife’s income was not sufficient as she is with me here in India. In your case, if the combined income of your husband and his mother is comfortably above the 125% of the poverty limit for your household size, then it is not required to get any more additional support. Eg: limit according to the guideline is 35k and the combined income is 45k. If it is only slightly surpassing the threshold amount, it is better to get an additional affidavit from your hisband’s dad too. I hope it helps :)

Still nothing today after calling, has been 3 business days since they started asking for names/DOBs. I'm holding out hope that the case number comes in sometime this week. Going to continue to call in the event the case number is generated before the e-mail goes out.

Case received: March 7, pivot case.
