For passport size picture, people have been approved both ways. I don’t think it matters. I personally scanned and uploaded the picture.

I have not seen this before so I’m not sure. I think NVC should still schedule your interview but call them to find out for sure. Ask them who will be scheduling the interview and how you will be notified.

The DS 260 first asks for employment history and then much later: "Have you belonged to, contributed to.. professional, social or charitable organization?

 

I mean, every employer I have previously listed is a professional organization - or not?

And is the church then a charitable organization?

It’s a possibility. I just have no experience with a case that completely bypassed the NVC. I do know that when people get a date from NVC and want to reschedule then they contact the embassy directly. So yeah call the NVC and maybe call twice so you talk to two different reps. Some NVC reps don’t always give an accurate information. You can also email the embassy. All of them have online forms where you can submit a query or email address so you can ask them too.

need your help. I am filling out ds 260 and stuck at page where they ask for adress in usa where you intend to live. Before this question there is question that is your present adress same as permenant adress.

 Which adresses are they referring? One i filled on previous page?

When I read that question, I assumed that meant not as an employee but otherwise do you have any connections with any such organizations. I would think that the church is considered a charitable organization if they do charitable work. I would say fill it out to the best of your knowledge. You may be asked to explain some of these at the interview if the CO has any questions or need explanation.

I think by present and permanent address, they mean like sometimes you have one permanent address but for one semester you’re living in a dorm so that’s your present address. Or maybe for job, you have to live in another city for a few months. Something like that. For most people, their present and permanent addresses are the same.
