So I called and asked to verify my DS-261 but the agent said no. I have to wait for welcome letter and he said it might take up to 4 weeks.

same thing happened to me but i got the welcome letter 4 days after, that included the weekend. Got case number on a Thursday, welcome letter on Monday at 1am. called at 7am and they reviewed it. Just be patient it will come through

So, I paid my IV fee yesterday after receiving invoice email from NVC. Everything went smooth and the payment status was showing processing. However, today I got the same invoice again in my email and when I went to the site the status says pay now. So I called NVC and one agent told me it is a browser issue and the system already rejected my fee which is why I got the second invoice. I was then told to call my bank and cancel the payment and make the IV payment again. I hung up, called again and I explained my situation but this agent told me to wait until payment is cleared before we go any further.

Has anyone encountered this issue?

So I am confuse. I seen people pay AOS and IV first and then complete DS-261. But in my case my DS-261 link is active so I completed that choice of agent and waiting for AOS an IV fees to active. Is that correct order? My case in non-pivot case.

yes that is perfect order :) If you have already received your NVC welcome email, then you can call NVC tomorrow and get your DS-261 verified over the phone. Else, wait for your NVC welcome letter and then once you receive it, call them and get it verified. They will verify DS-261 only after you receive your welcome letter. Then after it is verified, the AOS link will be active and in a couple of days IV fee payment link also will be active. :) Hope it helps

I suggest you to call NVC in case the amount is debited from your account. If it hasn't been debited yet, I recommend waiting for a couple of days after which, in any case, you should call NVC. :)

I had the same problem, waited over 1 week until they realized & rejected the first one. I checked my bank statement no deduction for days.... So they again billed me a new one then it went through finally!

Did your bank said pending when you made your first IV payment or it didn't show up on your bank at all?
