Today marks our 7th week waiting (receive date March 15th), non-pivot turned pivot embassy.

 

Called NVC, got the usual allow up to 8 weeks speech for the case number. So I asked can we expect it next week then and the operator just said to call next week again if we haven't received anything by then. Didn't ask about personal info yet so I'm not holding my breath.

Call NVC and ask them to review your DS261. AOS fee should be cleared within a week before IV fee can be paid.

Hi i know  beneficiary needs to send  copy of passport to nvc. My question is whether send only page which contained information about beneficiary or it has to be all pages. Any advice please. Thanks

Yes. Only the Passport Bio Data page is what you need to submit

Ours was sent to the Dept Of State on April 24th and NVC received it on April 30th. Call them today to confirm if they have received your approved petition from USCIS

One more question. The spelling of my address is  slightly different in passport than rest of the documents like birth certificate, uscis applications, marriage certidicate. Can i inform nvc about it or shall i just submit new birth certificate and marriage certidicate similar spelling as my passport. Its just one word. I made passport after submitting my i130. Thanks

I called NVC today and this time they asked for names and DOB. I asked the lady if she knows when will I get my case number because it's over 8 weeks now, she said that she'll send it to a supervisor. I hope I receive my case number soon. NVC receive date: Feb 28 (pivot case). 9 weeks and a day

Gauging by what I've seen of others cases in the last couple months, should expect the e-mail in about a week's time after they start asking for names/DOB. Here's hoping to us anyways...

We finally received our case number today (pivot case - NVC receive date Feb 22). I am speechless. We waited for exactly ten weeks today.

 

And yes, the started asking for Name /DOBs about a week ago.

Have you got both the case and invoice numbers? Did you pay the AOS and IV fees?

I got my case number earlier but couldn't pay. I have to wait for the welcome letter through e-mail to access their system
