Hi! How did you know if NVC received your papers from USCIS? Did you call them or any notification sent to you? Ours was sent to DOS last April 26. ☺️

Thank you! I’ll tell this to my husband. ☺️

One more thing, roughly how long would it take from the time that NVC received our case to Case Complete? I just need an estimate time coz my work mandates that I need to stay for 3 months from the time I submitted my resignation. Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone on the I-864, for sponsor's household. I'm sponsoring my husband, so I have him counted on Item 1 and the person I'm sponsoring, am I supposed to count him again in item number 3 for 'if you're currently married' . It says put zero if I'm not currently married, but I am and he's already counted in number 1.

Please how do I answer this?

Why do they make this so complicated? gosh

This is from I-864 inststructions page

Part 5. Sponsor’s Household Size Add together the number of persons for whom you are financially responsible. Some of these persons may not be residing with you. Make sure you do not count any individual more than once. In some cases the same person could fit into two categories. For example, your spouse, whom you would enter in Item Number 3., might also be a lawful permanent resident for whom you have already sponsored using Form I-864 (Item Number 6.). If you included your spouse in Item Number 3., do not include him or her again in Item Number 6.

Around 3 months to have case complete. But another waiting period for the interview depending on how busy your country's embassy is. Some waits another 6 wks for that.

I suppose the bulk of that 3 months would be waiting for the Case Number? As I see folks here waiting for almost 6 weeks for their case number..

I’m currently residing in UAE, I hope the interview wait is not that long.

Thank you Mrs D11 ☺️

Well, hopefully not the whole 3 months for just the case numbers haha it will drive us nuts! But it already happened to some. Mostly though only took 6-8wks for that. NVC is speeding up again. Fingers crossed that it will stay like that 😣

You're welcome 😊

Try to call via viber if you are outside U.S, you can actually directly call Nvc by using the app just need to pay something via cc.I used and purchase "viber out" to call nvc with long distance payment/charge of $4 for 25mins but I got my number it is worthy.... and yes you will have yours, I believe, they are just preparing welcome letter and checklists perhaps that is why they are not sending via email yet. I actually never tried calling until one guy on this forum posted yesterday and just followed what he did to call 2x, and noticing people mostly getting their number during 7pm of Usa time,so I did call around that time ....We have not yet gotten email customer rep says to wait it will arrive with in 4weeks hehehe, but was able to access ds261,though pay fee is not accessible as of the moment.....I wonder how long it will be is it 24hrs? Or  48hrs? Let us know for those who have knowledge.

If you are using iPhone you use Google Hangouts app they provide free calling for US and Canada . If you are using Android you download Hangouts dialer

As right now its up to 30 days to have case complete the most average and for the interview 2 months in advance to give more time to prepare for medical exam. I do know some countries few months waiting for the interview :(
