after we completed the documents . how many days they need to interview ?

Hi!

It depends on how busy your embassy is. NVC schedule interviews at the end of each month, minimum 30 days advance, and up to 90 days. I guess this can be more if your embassy is crazy busy, but won’t be any quicker than 30 days as you have to do the medical exam and be prepared.

Apologies for my duplicate post,  but I didn't get a response in a different thread. hopefully you guys can give me some insight

Looking for some advice/input here.

Paid IV & AOS Fees: 05/25/2018 (Processing currently)

I wasn't expecting the case number to come so early. I want to get an August interview date, but I feel like if I upload my documents next week, I'll end up with a July interview date, which conflicts with our travel plans (bad idea, I know.) We are a PIVOT Case. Do you guys think I should delay uploading my documents? Just  a little lost what to do here.

Thanks!

Hi!

I think this depends only on your embassy, but reschedule the interview doesn’t seem to me a big deal. I don’t think this would delay your case more than a couple of weeks, but your embassy might tell their practice if you call.

Maybe you had a TB vaccine so you test positive for the TB skin test? I know I test positive for TB on the skin test so I always have to get a chest xray to prove I don't have TB.

Hello everyone!

I am wondering, is there anyone got approved on 08/15/2018, but did not get the case number yet?

NVC received my case on 30/03/18 then I have been waiting for 8 weeks already, but there is no case number yet?

What should I do? and how long does it take from the day we get case number to interview date?

Thank you

We are waiting for our AOS and IV fees to be processed, but just curious once we get to the uploading documents stage...do we have to upload all documents at once or can we upload a few and return to it later to upload the rest? Only asking because we are still waiting on a police certificate and it would be nice to be able to upload what we have ASAP so that we don’t have a lot to do once the police certificate arrives.

Yeah, you can work on everything bit by bit. Once you've uploaded everything, you still have to click the "submit" button. Before you do this, everything is saved for you to return to later.

Hey.

I think the guidelines of TB screening depend on the number of cases TN in a certain country. TB is a complicated disease to be diagnosed in general.

I believe this diagram will enlighten you more:

I would recommend you to upload all the documents at once. You can fill the ds -260 in advance, it also takes some time. But not to submit it unless all the documents are ready to upload.

For us it took exactly 10 weeks to get a case and invoice number. It's a pivot case. But you can get it any day now since you are over 8 weeks. Best of luck to you on this stage and on

i have completed the DS-260, and currently uploading the civil documents.

1 of the documents they require is EXCHANGE VISITOR DOCUMENTATION (J-1) , as I visited the US on a year long j1 visa in 2015/2016.

what exactly define j-1 documentation? the visa glued into my passport ?

I had to do the same and was similarly confused. I called the NVC, and the operator said that they mean a copy of the visa in your passport, yes. To be sure, I also added all the DS-2019s I have. Mind you, My case has not yet been reviewed, so I can't tell you if they were actually content with this, but this was the info NVC gave me.
