Hmm, does NVC/Embassy not schedule an interview until the status on CEAC status changes to 'In transit' or 'Ready' or does it matter?

I believe ready means that nvc is waiting for embassy to get back to them with the date...at least that is the status I am watching for!

Embassy schedules usually before NVC sends it. But for PIVOT I think it should say just "Ready" once they schedule because there is nothing to send.

Nope, Ready means everything has been sent to NVC and they are ready for the interview.

Sweet..I just found this too:

At NVC

This means that your case is at NVC and is either ready to be reviewed or being reviewed.

Case was Approved

This means that your case is now being readied for transfer to the embassy or consulate.

In Transit

This means that NVC has mailed your application to the embassy or consulate, but the embassy has not received it yet.

Ready

This means that the embassy or consulate has received your application and they are “ready” for your interview.

Looking for some insight!

We received our case number on 5/4 after 9 weeks past receipt by the NVC (Pivot).

Paid IV and AOS immediately. Payment went to "Paid" on 5/10.

We submitted our AOS and and civil documents on 5/10 and they are still showing "submitted". I see lots of people here with CCs much sooner than the two weeks we have already waited. We were hoping to get CC by the end of the month and potentially get an interview date as they seem to schedule at the end of the month.

Is there any insight as to why its taking so long to get our CC?

It varies. The cases in May that I've seen have been taking a long time for PIVOT CC. 17 & 20 calendar days is what I've seen for the last two May submitters I've been following.

SIGH. There's a few people here in the same boat. It's extremely frustrating, especially since the NVC part (with CEAC, no less) was supposed to go really quickly. My guess is that because a bunch of embassies are switching to PIVOT right now, the electronic-upload system and review has slowed down the way it has. The only thing the NVC operators say is that it may take up to six weeks for them to review a case.

I got it through my email this morning. I'm not sure how they're prioritizing PIVOT vs regular cases, but hopefully you get your case number soon.

Good luck!
