Received interview date May 21, 2018

Interview Date: June 24

Scheduled Medical for June 10

So guys our interview is coming up in 4 weeks

on 20 June at Islamabad embassy.

So any recent interview at Islamabad embassy who was given 5535 form for secuirty checks?

I have heard they are giving it to many people and it is taking more than 6 months to visa issued at Islamabad embassy after replying to this form.

Someone sent a Download link for the form 5535 and advised that it should be taken to the interview and Given to the CO.. Apparently that reduces the waiting time. Check the last 2 or 3 pages, you will find the link somewhere. Good luck to you!

but i am worried that if i take that form they might need time to check my phone numbers and social media and that might delay our case.

And might CO dont require that form so i think we should be going without that form.

Secondly category is IR2 and also NVC expedited one due to age turning 21

So hopefully there wont be any more delays by Islamabad embassy,as they have to complete case before age turning to 21.

Most likely your son might not be given the form.

Again you don't have to go to the interview with an already completed Form 5535 because it is discretional. Its the CO's duty to demand for it or not.

that what i was thinking!

Secondly age out nvc expedited cases are hopefully not delayed at embassy.

Their duty is to complete it before age turns 21.

Hey guys! We had our interview at Islamabad Embassy on May 16th and got the visa in hand on May 18th! We will be traveling to States on May 29th and l want to know what steps we need to take before the immigration. We have the visa and we were not given any packet to be opened at the time of immigration. There was just one paper with instructions on how to pay the immigration fees ($220) at USCIS. We have paid the fees and also got the confirmation email which we will be taking with us. Is there anything else we need to do?

That is weird, you need that packet for immigration as far as I know. Did you get the passport in person? Maybe they have yet to send you the packet?

They did give us the passport in person with the visa. We asked for the packet and they said that Islamabad Embassy doesn't give out that packet anymore. There were two other people for spouse visa who got interviewed with us and they didn't get the packet either.

I think pivot cases won’t get packages....one plus with the electronic system.

who does this form apply to? someone had interview a week ago at isl and got approved fine without it...i dont think ive heard of this....

4/12/17 - NOA1 Sent to Nebraska

1/10/18 - NOA2

1/18/18 - Case Sent to Department of State

1/25/18 - NVC received case

3/30/18 - Case # and IIN assigned

3/30/18 - Paid AOS and IV fee

4/9/18 - AOS and IV fee Status Changed to Paid

4/9/18 - Submit DS 260 and uploaded AOS and IV package

4/16/18 - Case complete

5/7/18 - Received interview email 

6/4/18 - Interview @ 7am at ISL embassy - Approved :jest:
