Were you travelling to the US with your family for CBP to ask you that? I mean once they scan your passport, everything comes up in their system.

Yes, we were all travelling together for a visit to my wife’s hometown. We live in Canada now and plan to relocate to the US once the visa comes through.

I dont understand? Is that how they ask people if the use drugs before ? With out differentiating what type of smoke they are talking about,if it cegeritte or marijuana?

It's a usual question the physician ask immigrant visa applicants during their medicals but I think marijuana and other hard drugs are what they are against.

I don't quite understand ur concern. It's a standard thing to ask during any type of medical exercise if u smoke or use drugs. I was also asked the same at Q life.

If drug testing is part of the requirements, they have ur blood and urine so they will test on it and find out. So that's what you should be concerned about!  Plus cigarette smoking is not a crime and not a reason why u would be denied a visa if at all.

Hello friends,

A question for those interviewing in INDIA. Do you need the police clearance from the Passport Office or from the District police?

PCC from Passport office should be enough however many people took from both

I didn't

Yeah mobile phones, smart wristwatches, earpiece camera and all other mobile/electronics/metal devices are not allowed inside the embassy. You’ll see different places to register and keep your phone with bag  at the car park.. just ask anyone around when you get there. I think think you should be able to take your bag into the embassy if you don’t have any electronics in it coz many people went in with their bags.

P.S don’t drop your money with the bag if you’re not taking it in.

Question: I am waiting to be scheduled for interview in Nicaragua, CC April 17, 2018, due to civil unrest in Nicaragua U.S Embassy closed until further notice. Civil unrest started April 19, since then Embassy has closed twice and reopened last closed on May 16. Does anyone here know if I can request to get interview in another country like Honduras? If so, how? Please help.

I am in a situation please help. My wife CR1 interview visa is scheduled at Mumbai on June 11 th. Her Bio metric appointment is also scheduled on 8th June. However in her Chest Xray some finding has came up, the doctor has advised for sputum test. She never had positive TB in her life. She completed 3 day sputum culture test. The Medical Vaccination results will be sent to embassy on July 14th. At this point should i still let my wife go for her interview or reschedule at a later date. If so how can we reschedule the date? The doctors advised her Medical reports will be send directly and they would put her in Administrative processing stage. I have emailed ustraveldocs support for Mumbai embassy and yet have to receive any reply.
