That sucks, have to spend more time and money in Montreal for the medical. And yeah, those vaccination requirements are garbage... tetanus shot had me down and out for days hah.

No we are just going through the normal process. Right around the time of our noa2 the govt had two different places we could register and put our emails.i think this helped us. We didn't have to ever give nvc that info or do the d261 ...that is the only thing we can see why we got the case # so quickly..

Yes that was the other arm! Hehe we are trying to make a vacation out of it..go early for medical and then travel to TO/Niagra maybe!

I want to know in how many days after paying tax we can get tax transcript of current year?

Secondly i864 can be filled without having tax transcrips or after it?

after u submit tax return it depends how long to get transcript on how busy they are. i did in jan and got it in 2-3 weeks. can take upto 3 months. keep checking and if u dont have it u can take w2 and tax return and tell them y u  dont have transcript.

 

i864 only asks for income so u can do that without transcript.

Our interview date might be soon as ceac status show ready.

Should we taking just w2 and that are available quickly??

yes like i had mentioned take a copy of your tax return that u will file AND w-2. if helps, take past 2 years tax transcript. he should have those....

we will take copy of tax return and w2 which will be filed.

as my father was ill so he will pay tax of last 3 years together now.

we dont have last 2 years also.

I got a checklist for the police certificate, my scan date was 04/28 and got cc on 05/03 so about 4 working days. Seems they are faster at reviewing checklist items sent in.

Wife's visa was approved at the Lagos, Nigeria Embassy this morning. 

 

They only asked 3 questions......

 

1. How did you meet your husband?

2. When did you start dating?

3. When did you get married?

 

Wife said they did not even ask or check any of the documents. She suggested to show the pictures album but the lady just issued the white paper for visa collection

 

Thank you VJ members. If I had found this forum earlier, this process would have taken less than the 8 months & 10 days but still thank God.

Quick question for you all. Is there anyone that has picked up their passport and visa (after approval from the interview) from DHL Abuja? Is it better to pick up from Lagos?
