NVC told us that they have sent case to embassy so contact them

when we contact embassy they say ask nvc to scedule interview!

Please tell me things for interview including nvc for IR-2 under 21 child category

As nvc step is skipped so we will need all documents together at the time of interview both if nvc and interview stage

Original scan date was 3/26. Then we got checklist 4/10. Long story short, lawyer said he sent form on 4/13, I kept calling nvc and they said they said they didn’t have it and to just send it myself. So I overnighted the one paper they were missing and it was scanned in on 5/3. I say we were expecting June because that’s what our lawyer was telling us.

Interview goes with your case complete date, not your scan date. If you stay around here long enough you will know that many lawyers haven’t got a clue what they are doing or saying.

I know. My original post was just finding out how long people were really waiting after a checklist to get a case closed.

Hello! In the home stretch here and have questions I can’t find answers to. My husband and I submitted our ds-260 on 3/16/2018. We received a checklist for the police record from Mexico. As of April 6 there was a new rule that this form had to be sent it- our lawyer didn’t know. So, nvc has our checklist and it was scanned in on 5/3. Does it really take long for it to be reviewed? Especially when it’s just one form? We were under the impression we would have a June interview and I’m starting to not believe that will happen for us. We are ciudad juarez.

@jennita   When we got our checklist for NVC it was for the police certificate too. It took them exactly one week after scan date to complete the review and give us the case complete. The scan date on out police certificate was April 7th we got our case complete on April 14th. We are now waiting for ciudad Juarez appointment too! Good luck to you guys and we will be praying for you! Please keep me updated on how things are going!!!

Thank you! I actually just logged in on ceac and it says to pay missing fees... so I’m going to catch up with my lawyer on Monday. Maybe this means a cc after it’s paid?! Yesterday it was still telling me to send requested documents.

I got a checklist on 4/25, sent in my requested papers the same day, delivered on 4/26.  Got case complete 5/2....8 days later.  I had to call to find out case complete, I still haven't received email for case complete or interview date yet. IV status shows at NVC

@jennita   Have you not paid fees yet??? First thing Monday morning call NVC. But it took us exactly a week to get our case complete after police certificate. Sometimes we can find out just as much if not more than the lawyers by calling ourselves. I have had to do alot of the work myself because for some reason everytime our lawyer sent something in there was always an issue with NVC receiving it. Praying for you guys and keep me updated on your progress!!! Good luck!!! We will get our appointment soon!!!
