Hi! So i sponsored my parents’ immigrant visa and they got approved. My brother lives in new york and they wanted to see him first prior to coming to where i live. Now, would that be an issue at the port of entry once they come in here? Or it doesn’t matter? Of course their plane ticket will end up showing in New york. Anyone who had experience with this? Thank you!!!

need answers asap, they want to come her on a month.

My dad was just anxious that he will be questioned at the POE why he is not hoing straight to Where i live. He was asking for proofs and how sure i am. Omg! It is so hard to deal with. I have tried to explain that as long as you know my address and all that, it should be fine. He was even asking me to find a lawyer to ask.. stress!!!

POE doesn't matter.  If your father is asked about it he only has to tell the truth that he is visiting his son in NY while he is traveling to his final destination.

Good Luck!
