I will be  filing I-130s for my soon to be wife and her two children. I understand that each person should be on a separate form. Does that mean 3 fees too?  On the K-1 derivatives on the petition are included at no additional cost. I am just starting to do my homework and don’t want to miss anything.

Yes, you will have to pay for each I-130

Three fees for the I-130s. When you get to the NVC you can link them and pay just one AOS filing fee (currently $120) but they will again need three separate visa fees and three medical fees.

And three new immigrant fees after visa issue.  Three removal of conditions fees if they enter before the second anniversary of the marriage.  Where it CAN go back to one fee again is when the parent Naturalizes before the children are 18.  Then the children become citizens automatically, and simply apply for US passports.

Thank you.  This is a bit confusing but right now all I need to do is get married before AJ turns 18 (July 18!)

Yes, if you do not marry before the foreign spouse's child turns 18, they have no path to immigrate as your step child.  You might be confused as to WHY things are as they have been explained, but you should not be confused about the fees anymore.

For what my opinion is worth John I think you are doing the right thing by getting married, it isn't fair on Rose to keep her waiting while the USCIS process another I-129f, a few weeks ago Colleen and I were talking about what we would do if we were to be declined and we felt the course you are taking would be the one we would take.

This kind of "judgment" is not appropriate in the immigration forums here.  It's a judgment for the couple to make based on their own priorities.  You essentially, just said all USC's who file petitions for a fiance or fiancee are being unfair to their loved one.  That is certainly not true.
