Hello, everyone.     Our thoughts and good vibes are with all who are still waiting and we hope and pray that you are with you loved ones again very soon.  My wife's interview in CDJ was 7/23. One thing that seemed strange to us was that the CDJ consulate did not seem to be operating anywhere near full capacity.  There was no line when we arrived at 9:45am for a 10:15am interview and she was waved right in.  She said that only a small section of the waiting area inside and a small number of the windows in the hall where she was led were being utilized.  Her interview was complete (visa approved😁) and she was back out on the street by 11:30am (much faster than the 3-5 hours we had read that it could take).  So it's not clear to us why the waiting time for interviews is getting longer and longer unless they are scheduling fewer interviews because they are understaffed at the consulate or we were just there on a day that they had scheduled fewer interviews than normal.   Although we did not expedite, it may make sense to do so for those who have been waiting more than a few months.  (It never occurred to us to try.)  Our thoughts are with you all!

The current waiting time is beyond crazy.

We got lucky, our CC date is March 15th so we made the cut for August interviews, mine is coming in a little under two weeks (gasp) the 28th.

I read of people with CCs March 16th who had to wait for a September date, a few weeks after mine. Late March filers are finally getting their dates,

as well as April but not all of them... 6-7 months from CC to actual interview date, like others have mentioned. Sigh.

The fact that it's taking Mexico half a friggin year more than most countries... I understand it's severely backlogged and they give the most VISAS,

it's still awful.

Congratulations to everyone that's gotten their appointment dates recently!

We finally have our appointment. Exactly 5 months after CC on 3/28. Our appointment is for 10/22.  Good luck everyone.

Ours got expedited approval due to medical issues.  We don't have the date yet but we should be hearing from them soon once the file arrives at the embassy in Juarez.  Our CC is 6/29/18.

When was your case expedited afterall? It shouldn’t take but more than 2-3 days after the embassy receives it.

Question about the carta sin antecendentes penales.

My spouse got her carta in the beginning of April 2018 when we were at the NVC phase.  Our appointment is in October 2018.  Is our carta sin antecedentes penales still good?
