I truly hope they speed things up. I'm guessing they're just severely backlogged considering the sheer amount of cases that were filed between November 2016 and February 2017 or so.

I waited 10 and a half months just for approval at USCIS instead of the average 6. I've been waiting 3 and a half months for an interview date, and it will be 5 or 6 months until the actual date, totaling a year and a half instead of one.  It is what it is, unfortunately! but I truly wish that it is faster for you, and they manage to deal with the backlog.

What makes me mad is that they speed everything up for people that get a tourist visa, go to the USA, marry and then stay there through the process.  Then us people that do it the right way have to jump through so many damn hoops and wait a year or year and a half.  They inadvertently encourage people to do it the wrong way.

THIS. A million times this, I wish I could like it multiple times!

It drives me crazy. You want people to follow the correct procedure? then don't make it so that we have to wait almost two years long distance in many instances, while other people just abuse their tourist VISAS. All the lawyers even encourage this way, just ''come with a tourist VISA and get married'' which is pretty much fraud.  they also jumped over most march approvals to give slots to April approvals (residents, and not citizens) I know they've been waiting longer,  but that means it will be around 6 months from CC to interview for me. And it is insane. I am beyond exhausted

Yay! Super happy for you. I knew it, they are crawling so slowly through the dates, but you were in that next chunk to be scheduled for sure. Start looking at details for trip-planning!

I just got my CC on Friday,June 29th.  My CC letter says priority date 9/17/18.  What does that mean in regards to the interview in juarez?

Your CC For June 29th just means that's when your case is completed and are probably now in line for your interview. Interviews are taking an average of 3-4.5 months and then 1 month following that for the actual interview. They give you an interview date  a month in advance from your actual interview date.

Anybody got any citas in Juarez??  Haven't heard anything from anybody else.

They probably won't start assigning any dates until next week. Since your CC was June 29th you probably won't receive a cita date until October/November for an interview in December. If you are lucky  you might get one for November :)
