Hey everyone,

I have 2 questions. We are late January K1 filers and I put on the I-129f form that my fiancee and I would be living at my parent's address as we plan to house hunt together when she gets here. We were wondering if this isn't a solid enough address and she would be denied in the interview because a newly married couple living with parents isn't ideal. If that could possibly be a barrier to entry then how does it look if I move out to a new address that doesn't match what is on the I-129f before she has her interview? Basically we don't want to be denied for a stupid thing such as this.

If it helps, she is coming to USA from UK.

Thanks in advance for all advice.

You’re worrying over nothing. That’s not a reason for denial. An address is an address regardless of you’re gonna be sharing your house with. As long as you both live under one roof, on the address listed they don’t care. You could live with Mickey Mouse and they wouldn’t care. As long as it’s the truth and legal.

The only mistake would be to put down an address if you’re not actually living there. Plenty of newlyweds live with parents while they’re saving or looking for their own house. USCIS doesn’t care about that and it will 1000% not cause your petition to be denied. Put down the exact address where you reside. Doesn’t matter who else lives there.

It happens more often than you think and USCIS is very much aware of and prepared for this. After all, you chose to have her come here on an expensive visa that forbids her from working for several months. How else to they expect you to make ends meet and pay those very high AOS fees? Very few couples can live on just one income these days. It's the way of the world...

Thanks. I wouldn't think it would be an issue but just didn't want to be caught off guard!
