Visiting the US While Waiting for I-30 Approval

Hi Guys,

 

I had a question about visiting the US while we are waiting for the I-30 approval. My husband and I are living in Canada and applied for I-30 recently. Now, we like to travel to the US for vacation and visiting family members. However, I've heard that traveling to the US could be tricky and the beneficiary needs to provide proof that he/she is returning back. I was wondering if any of you had experience with traveling to the US while waiting for your case. What sort of documents did you provide?

What you have to provide are thing a such as property owned in Canada so a deed or title to a house if possible. A letter from employer saying that you will be back for XYZ date. I would also bring any correspondence with USCIS. When I traveled to the US during my K1 process, at one point I brought the whole packet that we sent to USCIS with me to show CBP if they wanted to see it. Bring any debt statements from the government that you may have. Just keep in mind that it may be a little harder as you are both traveling together.
